To start...New Bootcamper Mike Heneghan is the writer of Zephra. "The Canadian Premiere of the award-winning short film 'Zephra' will take place on Friday September 19 at 21:30 in the Belljar Café at 2072 Dundas Street West.
Zephra is the story of John who, after the collapse of society in the mid 1960's, survives by scratching out a miserable existence in the Scottish highlands. But when the last of his water is contaminated, he has no choice but to head down the mountain, encountering that from which he has been trying to hide: People.

The film won the Best Actor and Best Production Design Award at the Portsmouth International Film Festival, and is currently nominated for Best Actor, Best Production Design, and Best Cinematography at the Southampton International Film Festival. It was also funded through the Filmbase/RTÉ Prize, and was entirely shot, produced and funded in Ireland, Screenwriter Michael Heneghan will be in attendance, and admission is free.
