A redraw of sorts for The Brightest Night graphic novel cover!

I know I recently said I can be overly critical about stuff so I definitely see the irony in this but I couldn't stop myself, I've wanted to do a WoF graphic novel redraw for a while now and this cover was the perfect opportunity.

Feel free to send me some panels from the graphic novels you'd like to see redrawn by the way!

I'm gonna be honest, I very much dislike the style of the graphic novels, to the point that it makes it hard for me to enjoy the story.

Most corrections here where aesthetic or anatomical. 4 changes (simple toes, less crest, less body detail and less lines for the wing fingers) where purely personal style and not something I think is actually wrong with the graphic novel illustrations.

For anatomical tweaks I referenced canines, felines, bears, equines, birds and bats because they are all either quadruped or winged, which the dragons in the novel also are.

Yeah, I got bored and redrew the whole thing, improving on the composition and dialogue. There’s so many responses that are better than “I bet you say that to all the girls”

lol remember when rick leonardi came back to do guest pencils for 1 (one) issue of spider-man 2099 (2014) and it was at once really great and really terrible? yeah. that was wild

anyways. i hate when artists draw a character’s whole face even though it is under a mask so. fixed that
