October Comic Update

Oh lawd, real life got real for a minute there. I'm currently out of work and fighting with UI, and it turns out the bank account being negative equates to pretty severe writing/art blocks. I've managed to get it sorted for now, still job hunting, but! General update on the comic:

I am current sitting on around 131 pages worth of plot with a little over a third of it fully scripted. I have 30ish pages scripted enough to storyboard. My current method for that involves a paid app on my tablet and I haven't found a good way to spoof it on my desktop yet, so there's a bottleneck there. I have to admit, I hesitate on the storyboards.

I feel like my art is making good progress...or at least, my understanding of the toolkit itself. I've been devouring some youtube content to educate myself, shout-outs to:

Samdoesarts: Fantastic videos on shading and composition, and he makes me laugh.

McKay&Gray: For the video helping me set up my Scrivener for scriptwriting.

Marc Brunet: For Background Tutorials

Noah Bradley: For more Backgrounds and Lighting

I have a playlist started on youtube, and whenever I find something that helps me, they go on the list.

I am pleased to say I beat a small goal I set for myself early? I started writing again in March, and Drawing in April. I dedicated myself to it seriously around April 15th, and since then, I've managed to draw 100 new things. It's the most art I've ever done in my life. The most consistent creative stretch so far, too.

I have spawned a small horror novel that I'm writing and doing art for as well. The comic remains my primary focus, with fanart and fic between when I need to shake a mood.
