Valiant comics is doing some amazing stuff! Here is Ryan Danks’ version of Bloodshot, Project Rising Spirit’s greatest success and worst nightmare!
BLOODSHOT Real Name: Raymond Garrison Creation Pool: 20D RESISTANCES Composure 2D, Fortitude 4D, Reaction 4D, Will 2D APTITUDES Athleticism 3D (Specialties: Agility 4D), Fighting 3D, Shooting 3D (Specialties: Guns 4D) POWERS Nanite Blood: Super Running 2D (50 mph); Regeneration 1D; Minor Invulnerability 2D (Disease, Poison); Life Support 1D; Telepathy 2D (Boosts: Affects Electrical Devices; Complications: Limited Use - Electrical Devices Only; Touch Attack) ADVANTAGES Intimidating 1D, Is That Your Best Shot? 1D DISADVANTAGES Enemy 1D (Carboni Crime Family), Enemy 2D (Project Rising Spirit), Mental Hindrance 1D (Altered Memories), Social Hindrance 1D (Strange Looking) Design Notes I'm not as familiar with Bloodshot as I am the rest of the Valiant universe, and I know they changed him quite a bit during the reboot - this version is based on his Pre-Unity appearances. He gets built early on, despite my somewhat unfamiliarity, because I didn't want my first foray into regenerating and physically enhanced characters to be with iconic characters like Wolverine and Captain America (I feel more confident writing them up now, though). The system handles enhanced beings a little wonky (or, at least, not intuitively). Bloodshot should be able to have limited life support (goes without air for extended periods and can survive harsh temperatures), which includes against toxins and similar. Splitting that between Invulnerability and Life Support was odd. I'm not sure Bloodshot would have both, as his ability to withstand such things seems to be from the nanites reinforcing his body, which is already handled via Fortitude. But that's another area that feels odd at first, but I'm sure will begin to feel more comfortable as times goes on: Resistances take a lot of the work load for being enhanced human. Update I gave Bloodshot Regeneration at 1D because in his '90s version he would take quite a while to heal from wounds, like several scenes to even an entire adventure (like Wolverine before the movies gave him a power creep). This build now represents that level of ability. He still rolls every round, but he's only got around a 16% chance of successfully doing so each time, which means he can't heal more than 1D per round and he might not even do that, so he'll heal slower than other regenerating characters.
