Bob Layton's Valiant Comics, gone but not forgotten. Originally based on reviving Gold Key characters like Magnus: Robot Fighter, Solarr: Man of the Atom, and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, they combined it with new characters like X-0 Manwar and the Harbingers. Initially high quality and top selling, it is a tragedy the company did not survive for a number of reasons, including a crossover they invested many resources into with Rob Liefeld, who with his usual work ethic, turned out nothing (one of many reasons why I refuse to participate in Liefeld's recent semi ironic "leaning into it" self-reinvention/redemption of that talentless, workshy megalomaniac).
