Sorry it’s been a while! To catch you up I’ve been very busy moving, visiting family and working on some new soundscapes with the midnight variety crew. Also I tabled at LAzine fest! As for zine news: I made an egg zine! Here’s some snippets from the short black and white zine with a bonus mini 12 page core zine inside! Went to the Web + Mini Comix Thing yesterday! Tuke was in very much the exact area he was last year, and when I popped over to say hi another mate of mine Perks was there! It was pretty surreal because we've known each other online for about six years but this was the first time we met IN THE REAL WORLD. I honestly have no idea where them six years went! I honestly have no idea where them six years went! Not sure how long Perks was there before I got there, but he was soon off to shake the royal throne to some live music somewhere. Smindas apparently slept through all of this and missed the EXCITE. You lazy git :P
In the second photo is the swag I got: Two Eekeemoo comics (and set of badges), a Print, a sketch (of scratch, grounder and coconuts!) and 3 comics from Tuke, six prints by Jess Bradley (and a badge of an octopus!), set of six Ninja Bunny prints, a teeny double comic by LizzLizz (how could I resists a story called 'The man with Tetris on his chin'?) the Thing 2009 Anthology, a DVD of animations by Haxjibber (and a badge of a crab!) and many freebies thrown in my general direction.
Oops, I forgot to do one of these yesterday! Oh well!
Just a bit more info on the DVD, with a photo of the inside. Each DVD comes with a free sticker of a random scene from the film and has all the DVD's contents listed inside the case. The disc art is set within Lucy's stomach! I've tried to make this as slick as possible but have also put in in a nice thing case so it won't take up too much space on your shelf. There are even commentaries for four of the five films!
..and this time we have big badges! There's just these two designs but there are plenty of them to go around! The make tea not war image text had to be completely re-drawn to fit the circle and I got this cute little drawer to store them in.
..and here are some badges! There is 8 designs of these lil' badges in total, including one based on something that will be part of Tea N Crumpets 2. These were great fun to design and I'm really pleased with the results!
