I’m not sure of the exact date or whenever I should count when it was finished or when it was released online, but my short film Lucy Lolly is around 10 years old now. A couple months ago I was thinking about making a remaster of the film where I redraw some elements, render it in 4K and put it out as a 10th anniversary edition.
Life stuff like moving house got in the way and above is all I really got done so far. The left images are the original from 2008 and the right images are the new versions. I didn’t want them to look completely different, just neater and less wobbly looking and with some better colour choices. I’m not sure if and when I’ll get back to this, unless people would like to see more? At the very least it’s a fun little experiment.
Lucy Lolly the final storyboard Part 3!
I didn’t include when Lucy reveals the 2nd lollipop because....trade secret, it used the same boards as the 1st lollipop! Recycling!

A quick #Mermay for this year of Lucy Lolly! Sketch below!
Inktober 2018 day 10: Lucy Lolly at 26 years old.
Not long after her teen years Lucy escaped from the grasp of her religious school upbringing to finally return to her passion in life. She opened a sweet store and saved up for a full set of permanent metal teeth. Any child foolish enough to buy a lollipop from her store would suffer the same fate she did all those years ago...
Due to this widespread school tale she didn't receive many customers after a while. This was fine by her, as she had all the lollipops to herself..
