Last of the three commanders for today is Nin, the Pain Artist. As a red-blue creature, Nin is near and dear to my heart, though maybe less so than some other legendary creatures of that color combination. All the same, I worked hard to make sure Nin’s backstory worked to make her as evil as a professional torturer should be, without making her the normal “mad scientist” that red-blue is usually given with these types of creatures.

Today’s Sunday, and you all know what that means- the results of another Patron-poll. This month I’m going to be busy studying for exams, so all of the polls this week are a bit different, with only one result chosen from the polls, but several different homebrews of that option. What that essentially means is this week we have three Commanders, the first of which is Tariel, Reckoner of Souls, a very terrifying angel who’s equally likely to be either friend or foe.

More Sunday, more Patron-chosen homebrews, and more legendary creatures from CM11! Two of them this weekend, and the first is the classic Basandra, Battle Seraph. Basandra is also the first of the two-color commanders I’ve done from this set, though the others should be coming soon. I’ve almost done all the three-color, after all. Hope you enjoy the work!

Second Patron-choice for today was another Commander from the original Commander set, but this time around it was Ghave, Guru of Spores. I must admit, I was never a big fan of Ghave. It’s one of those commanders that I feel tries to be a complex, tactical commander, but it’s ability doesn’t really do well. But as a creature, I really like how it turned out. And since I feel like plant villains aren’t much of a thing, I turned the lore around a bit to make Ghave more of a brutalist “plants will rule” sort of creature.

Today’s Sunday, which brings us a change of pace with some Patron-chosen conversions. Today’s first (and only for this blog) is another of the Commander from the original Commander supplemental set, this time Ruhan of the Fomori. Basic card, but that just means his stats can get crazy in a basic way. Lots of damage, and that’s about what he offers.

Hey everyone, sorry it’s a bit late, but I just got kittens today, and I’ve spent most of the day split between doing homework and taking care of them. But here’s the first of the Patron-chosen homebrews from this week’s survey. Someone recommended the Commanders from the very first MtG Commander release, and that option got far more votes than the rest. Since it did, I figured I’d do two today, so the next one should be coming soon. For now, enjoy the Mimeoplasm- I’m happy with my work on this one, and I think it captures the card ability well.
