Loving something with essentially no fandom is so isolating…I want to rave about how much the short story about Commander Ambrose made me feel but alas it’s just me, one artist I love who drew Yelena in 2015 and my best friend who read no further than book 1.

So, a few months ago I finished Chapters @chapters-stories Poison Study book by Maria V. Snyder an American fantasy and science fiction author best known for her Study Series. 

All I can say is that Snyder is quite possibly a genius and kudos to Chapters for collaborating with her to make the book a reality. Poison Study was such a breath of fresh air from their usual storyline ranging from billionaires to bad-boys to helpless main characters/ damsels in distress that make me feel like a tool when I play. 

Poison Study was everything I never thought I needed and I’m absolutely feral that I didn’t know of it sooner or the fact that Chapters have not or will never continue the series in their line of books. I cannot for the life of me, fathom why, but that alone is a big loss. :(

I can’t name one thing I hate from the book. And perhaps I just have to buy them all to read and even though that thought gives me just enough satisfaction, and as much as I’d like to say nothing beats flipping the pages of a good book, the feeling of actually choosing your own choices in said book are much more satisfactory. 

Maria V. Snyder deserves better and so do I because hello? Valek? Ambrose? Ari? Janco? Why take them away from me? WHy? must i send out a formal request, chapters? pls just satisfy my needs during quarantine
