I love the subtle detail that Coach Lawrence mentions he “loves disco” after announcing the nominations, and Eli thus proposes a 1980’s theme for the dance.
Steve was frankly unoriginal, and Jim’s theme came about by chance and Toby’s quick thinking. But Eli? He was playing to win the favor of the teachers.

Re: my last post about rewatching D'aja Vu.
There’s something so bittersweet about seeing the dynamics of these characters crossing over, and having it erased. Because we never got this again. We should have in the franchise finale, but we didn’t. This was lightning in a bottle (no pun intended, iykyk). Blinky’s assurance that they would cross paths again and that the truest of friendships transcend time and space never came to fruition. Not in proper.
Aja and Jim’s instant platonic bond as warriors. Krel and Claire’s shared nerdiness. We deserved so much more.
Barbara: “Honey, did Claire come in with that baby?”
Jim: “No he walked in on his own and asked for a ride. Come on, mom.”
Me: You know, they say Arthur from BBC’s ‘Merlin’ is the most gaslit character of all time, but Barbara Lake is up there too.
I rewatched some Trollhunters from the beginning for the first time in over a year and I just… burst out in emotion crying?
Gosh, it feels so good and nostalgic to revisit the good old days. Thank you to every person who worked on this incredible project.

Okay but I have never seen a show confront ableism quite like 3 Below, beyond addressing the bigotry against senior citizens when Varvatos’s human form is chosen.
Like, the senior citizens of Arcadia in the show have friends. They’re happy. They spend time together. They date. It’s absolutely incredible!
