Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe was a 1953 Republic Pictures production originally intended as a TV series but released as a 12-chapter movie serial, later airing on television in 1955 as a summer replacement show.
RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON (1952)
Yes, you read that right: one of the stars in this serial was Clayton Moore, famous as The Lone Ranger on television. I believe this was filmed during the one season Moore had been replaced on the TV series by actor John Hart.
Despite his "good guy" image on television, Moore actually played one of the major bad guys in the serial.
