In 2024 I ran a fundraiser to help my mom with her debt, you can check for the details here and the list of those who helped here! + conclusion!
This is paid and off our shoulders so please don't worry, it's long time gone, thanks not only to you, but also to the fact my mom was given an offer to pay off half of it to close it off! (And my dear friends who helped me out with extra money that was needed to reach the goal!)
That was the biggest of our issues but not the only one and sadly now almost two years later I need to write a post like this again, although this time the goal is much smaller, $1700 (roughly 6200 PLN), as we need to pay our lawyer to tackle some of my mom's other problems, as it appears few of those lasting smaller debts are already time-barred, meaning that the time specified by law has passed during which the creditor (the person or company to whom you owe money) could effectively pursue the debt in court.
One of those people is actually effectively and threateningly trying to get my mom to pay, without stating that its already time-barred. (which the lawyer we are in contact with, who looked into the case and did things for us before, stated such behavior is unacceptable.)
Just like previously, there's no pressure, if you can help, only do so if you're able, just sharing and spreading the word is already a lot of help and I appreciate it deeply! Everybody has it hard and I understand that.
