Oh, just a little juvenile brown snake sneaking around in my brothers backyard! 😵🐍 The Eastern Brown Snake also reffered to as the common brown snake, they are extremely venomous, in fact the second-most venomous land snake in the world. Even a young snake (just like this one) is capable of delivering a fatally venomous bite to a human. Brown snake bites account for around 60% of reported snake bite deaths in Australia. Eastern Brown Snakes (pseudonaja textilis) are mainly diurnal hunters (meaning they hunt during the day) and hunt by actively looking for prey. They eat a variety of vertebrates, including frogs, reptiles, birds and mammals, and they also eat eggs. They have great eyesight and once prey is detected they will give chase and subdue the prey using both venom and constriction. Benefitting from agriculture due to the increased numbers of its main prey (being very partial to mice and rats), they have become more commonly found near houses and farms. #brownsnake #easternbrownsnake #commonbrownsnake #babysnake #snake #wildaustralia #nature #venom #deadly #funfactswithnate (at Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtYOA7YFyqm/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1gid9lu5iovvr
