Communication || Violet Parr & Jim Hawkins
How could you have a relationship with someone without any sort of communication? This was something Violet kept thinking about throughout the math lesson with Mr. Funnie. It just didn't make sense to her, but even though they were together now, Violet just found it so difficult to even talk to Jim, and she knew he was the same way.
The bell rang and it was the end of class, Violet left and stood by her locker for awhile, being indecisive as to whether she should pin back some of her fallen black hair or not, it was only Jim she was seeing but... This time, she felt that maybe she had to hide behind her locks.
Violet held some of her math books close to her chest as she heard the footsteps come closer, the familiar scent. She didn't want to do this, not now, it was too difficult. The raven haired girl took in a deep breath before turning towards Jim on her sneaker's heel. A smile briefly curved on her lips before fading away again, the girl went to tuck some hair behind her ear, but she decided to leave it. "So..." Violet said with a sort of nervous chuckle, trying to avoid any eye contact with the boy. "So." Jim repeated, almost just as awkward.
Great. That wasn't really a good start. Violet had to do something, she could sense people staring at the awkwardness between the couple right now. "Jim, I--" His brows furrowed as she began to speak, Violet bit her lip as she didn't know how to continue. She didn't want to hurt him, they'd gotten so close and even spoke to eachother now and again as friends, especially when their parents got together for one of their dinners.
"What?" Jim asked in a rather puzzled tone, although his voice made her stomach flutter, she just couldn't handle this anymore. "Jim... I need to go." And with that rushed bit of dialogue, Violet gave the boy a small smile before turning away and walking as quickly as she could out of his sight. She didn't bother to call or text him that night, and avoided him as much as possible the next day at school. Really, she just wanted him to get the point and move on.
