maybe im some extreme leftist but the whole “orange peel theory” is total bs to me. i would literally go to the end of the earths for my boyfriend and he i. if a complete stranger asked me to peel an orange for them, i would. if a complete stranger on public transportation who had been mean mugging me my whole route asked me to peel an orange for them, i would. if a total stranger wanted or needed me to teach them how to grow an orange tree i would scrape together information on where they could go to buy seeds or if it was feasible to plant from the seeds of one already eaten or what season they grew in and what kind of maintenance it needed and hell, i might recommend them some recipes to make with their oranges once they’re grown. and maybe they wouldn’t do the same for me but someone would! isn’t the most primal human instinct to help?
I mean yes the joke is “haha leftist meme wall of text”, but it’s also a joke about how much squinting you need to do when reading a Succession Arc chapter of Hunter X Hunter.

how it feels breaking out of the red scare propaganda while simultaneously seeing how deeply brainwashed everyone around me is.
