I am a Marxist-Leninist bi/ace trans man and a polytheistic satanist. Don't waste your time trying to convert/debate me if you dislike any of those things.

I'm in too many fandoms to count but the current ones are RDR 1 and 2, Fallout New Vagas. I love horror and talking about music, especially the soundtracks to my favorite games and movies.

Bolivians are 4 weeks into a general strike which has seen them shut down highways across the country, with union members manning the barricades. And now workers have seized control of an oil field in Santa Cruz, shutting down production. if you're wondering why 24 hour strikes and week long consumer boycotts don't achieve anything, it's because they don't put any actual pressure on capital. the Bolivians are showing us how to inflict sustained losses on business. it's still a long way from taking political control out of the hands of capitalists and putting into the workers, but it's how you actually operate if you want to win concessions. in fact, their state has already offered concessions but the workers and peasants are demanding more

Marxism is about changing the current state of things in practice, not about mental masturbation. this is why liberal institutions view Marxism-Leninism with such hostility. it's fine to teach sophisticated seeming versions of Marxism in the university when they're detached from revolutionary practice. it's fine to give their authors air time on your shows or write ups in your magazines. the same goes with platforming anti-communist socialists who condemn Marxism-Leninism, and with it all the countries in the world that have made significant steps towards building socialism. the construction and reproduction of this compatible left by liberal institutions is a powerful weapon for making sure that imperial core socialists are anti-communist, and are detached from practices that actually threaten to overthrow capitalist rule. don't fall for their bullshit when Marxism-Leninism is right there

Many non-USAmerican westerners like to pretend that issues like police brutality are just US problems. I have seen this in my own life, where white people always refer back to the US to talk about racism in the carceral system. The US does have severe police brutality, but this behaviour seems to provide a way for (white) Australians to virtue signal performative anti-racism while conveniently ignoring the reality of the nation we inhabit

So-called "Australia" has the highest proportion of prisoners in private prisons in the world. It's something like 16.5-19%, whereas the US has about 8% of its prisoners in private prisons. So Australia has about double, and that's not even touching on the way that the Indigenous peoples are brutalised and abused by police. Indigenous people here make up about 3.8% of the national population and 37% of the prison population, and that percentage has been increasing. They are imprisoned at a higher rate than any other group on the planet

I don't even have the words to express how fucking sickening that is, and how we are taught essentially nothing about it. Hell, the rest of the western world just treats Australia like a fun holiday destination or some endearing meme
