Just A Day Poetry and Community Building workshop for Happy Soul charity. Everyone from toddlers to elders read out a line from the poem we all wrote together as a community. Some of those taking part live on the same street and had never met before.
We explored themes such as love, family, community, loneliness, support and trust. The text above "Creativity is the only way to escape the harsh reality xoxo" was written by a 9 year old girl.
What a day we had in Kingston upon Thames.
It was amazing to be reminded that we all share far more in common than we will ever have differences.
