Unpopular SU community opinion:
Both the stans and crits can be absolutely awful. Each one says the other one is the worst but both can be very bad (including myself sometimes when I leave my emotion unchecked). A lot of crits don’t give some actual criticisms and seem to just bash on the show, and some stans blindly follow the show and don’t pay attention to what they’re trying to teach or any issues t does have and can be improved on. Both also seem to be harsh to the other (crits acting rudely to stans because they criticize so they know more than every Stan; Stan’s acting like they’re better because they like the show and don’t agree with criticism so that means that they just understand things better than every crit). I want both communities to be more constructive and have more fun debates that don’t lead to hate or anything. There are a lot better things to be heated about than SU depending on where you live, so use that energy for those things instead. In the end, almost all of us still like the show, but have different opinions on it, so maybe use the common ground to build upon our ideas instead of bringing others down
