Domestication purists argue that the floret and flos populations do not mix well. Flos tend to be bitter and resentful towards the pets, and florets, while well-meaning, are clumsy in their diplomacy.
Due to the political shift in the Compact, a small but growing contingent of Feralists has been allowed to argue their positions. Feralist centrists have pushed for the freedom for all sophonts to choose whether or not they are Domesticated, while hardline Feralists tend to favor the wholesale abolition of Domestication.
