Here's a little project that I did before I left AL. I needed a compact tool kit to go behind the seat of my truck in the C10 that would do most of the jobs that I normally come across. This small truck box from Sears fit well behind the seat. I wanted the tool box to stay organized but most organizers would take up too much space, like a socket rail. So I chose to glue strong thin magnets to the bottom of the inside of the tool box. This keeps all of the sockets in place and keeps the other tools from mixing around also. This way everything stays where I put it and is easy to find. I then covered the magnets and inside of the tool box with a rubber mat. This keeps the tools from moving around and makes it easy to clean. I tried using a 3M spray adhesive to hold the mat down, but found that a flexible silicone hot glue gun worked better. The tools were the cheapest and most compact versions that I could find to get the jobs done and not over fill the box. I wanted cheap tools in case they got lost in the salvage yard or stolen out of the truck. I've been using this kit for a couple months now and it's been working very well. It's got pretty much everything that I need and all the tools stay in place. #tools #trucktoolbox #trucktools #trucktool #junkyardtoolkit #toolbox #compacttoolbox
