Reasons Why Compass Learning Angers Me
Before today, I'd never used Compass Learning. I never understood why all of my classmates hated it.
Now I do. I really, really do.
Though, well, possibly not for all the same reasons that my classmates do. Still. Hate it.
1) The grammar/enunciation is terrible. (And no, attempting to speak like us does not give them the right to encourage bad speech habits.)
2) Their attempts to speak like teenagers are patronizing to the point of ridiculousness.
3) The characters are obnoxious. I am not a violent person. Really, I am not. Still, I want to punch all those characters right in their obnoxious little faces whenever they open their mouths.
4) They really need to stop assuming that we are idiots. (Actually, this should probably be number one, but I'm too lazy to move it up there.)
5) There is no way to skip through all the things that we already know. There is no way to skip through the parts that say, "What shall we do next? I know! Let's go over what we just taught you five minutes ago, and then reviewed with you five seconds ago!"
Just....ugh. I really hope I never have to use this again. The actual content isn't bad, but the way they present it is just a tad more than infuriating.
