Nightshift
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon, I LOVE your art and the description of your books. Seriously. As someone who is about to buy your books, what order do you recommend I read them in?
I see there is the release order of the series meaning:
Stormbite/Silverbird/Sirroco/Gregale/Broken Arrow
Or there is the wiki timeline of the currently released Compass then currently released Storms.
For a first read I didn't know whether you would reccomend reading your earlier books in release order to learn your writing style or just to follow the timeline that has been set up.
I'm not really sure how tumblr works so if there's something I've done wrong I do apologise, I just wanted to thankyou for all of your art and effort. I can see these 'asks' can get posted as full questions so if thats the case I'm sorry for such a long message on my part taking up screen space if there's someone else who saw this question and wanted to know the first order too. I'm going to leave now, bye. Thankyou for the art...
;O; I'm glad that you're intrested!!!!! Thankyouu!!!! I think there are 2 or 3 ways to read them all, because all have interconecting factors:
Published Order:
Stormbite -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Broken Arrow -> Silverbird
Timeline Order:
Broken Arrow -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Stormbite -> Silverbird
Lore Heavy to Acompanying Light Lore:
Stormbite -> Silverbird -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Broken Arrow
For when there are future releases (ie Libeccio, Mistral, Skybourne, and any short stories) these are where they would fit in.
Storm Series: Stormbite, Silverbird, Skybourne.
Compass Project Series: Sirocco, Gregale, Libeccio, Mistral
Short Stories: Broken Arrow, Glasswing (Related to Compass), Ten of Feathers (Related to Sirocco).

Bionic wings are hard to design when you don't like drawing mechanical stuff. I could have simplified it down even more but eh, aesthetic.
Eagle eye, feather light / Razor sharp just like a knife / Systematic, post traumatic / Girl is on the fly
Got some proper amethyst colours and an actual outfit for Griffin now! It's only been 5 years v ov,
Thankyou again for all the song recs! Love a bit of power-work out rock for Griffin!
I have had to update both the ebook and the print version for Sirocco due to unexpected critical errors with some of the images in it apparently messing up the layout, and have made the chapter header images smaller (I suspect KDP's update had something to do with this).
Anyone who has a kindle: you can receive this update through the “Manage Your Content and Devices” page on Amazon under your account.

I finally read Stormbite! 💙🪶 (I've had it sitting on my shelf for far too long, but a long flight with a busted laptop finally gave me the time to get started.) I loved it a lot! I have plenty of emotions over it, and am looking forward to Silverbird! In the meantime, though, I've started making art to get some feels out. I'll share that soon, I’m just taking time to make it nice!
I also picked up and read Broken Arrow immediately after. I drunk that book up like a glass of water and was done in a few days because AH MY HEART! My sketchbook is starting to fill with Roan because I’m a sucker for this good teacher! Question, is his Sapphire jacket designed the same as Griffin's, just with blue? Asking for art reasons, I’ll share those more once they’re more presentable than sketchbook scribbles.
Anyway, I’ll start reading the Compass books once I get more of these scribbles down! Thank you for the good stories, I’m looking forward to more!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!♡︎♡︎♡︎! ;O;!!!!! I'M GLAD YOU LIKED THE BOOKS AND ROAN!!❀!! !!!! ˙ᵕ˙, !!♡︎♡︎ ♡︎
❀As far as how Roan's jacket looks, there's a few different styles for the jackets in Core and ARCDA, some simple and others more decorative and busy (Griffin's one is probably more busy than Roan's). Lots of diamond and chevron patterns to the clothes, but feel free to adapt and draw how you think it should look o:!!!! I don't mind adaptation and headcanons!!
