🤣 sorry about that. It’s been drilled into me to end a chapter on a hook, but since I write snippets here, not full chapters I have a tendency to write a lot of cliffhangers. Working on an EiA freebie sticker to give away at TFCon
Broken Arrow: What If- Escape Pt 2
TFP Megatron x Reader
• Gently bouncing Tron on your hip when he whines sleepily, you hear a muffled crash and what might be an explosion from the other side of the ship. And you know he’s realized you’re missing as Tron whimpers uncertainly. Hidden in a shadowy alcove, you rest your cheek on top of Tron’s head. Fighting the urge to just surrender and pretend you were only exploring the ship. Because if he finds you here by the gate? He’s not that stupid and you know it. “We’re okay. Daddy’s just having a tantrum,” you whisper, tensing when you hear heavy peds.
• Up ending an exam table and sending a tray of tools flying, he’s aware of Knockout grabbing his own human and shielding them. The medic said you weren’t in the Medbay, that he’s not seen you, but he can’t seem to stop. Feels out of control, because he can sense you through the bond. Knows you’re somewhere on the ship. Don’t you know how dangerous that is? To go wandering the ship without protection? What if Starscream finds you and Megatronus? Shoving the door open hard enough to embed it in the wall, he vents, storming through the ship.
• Shushing Tron, you watch three Vehicons enter the big space, one moving to man the controls as the other two speculate on what Megatron’s on a tear about to make you wince. Oh, you’re going to be in trouble if he catches you. What’s he going to do to you? And the gate hums to life, leaving you breathless with anticipation. Where on Earth are they going? Will it be near Jasper? What if you end up out in the desert? Hate that you’re only now asking these questions, but you’re scared. Holding your breath as the three walk through, you hug Tron to you and start jogging for that swirling light.
• Almost stumbling as his sense of you dims, Megatron splays a hand on the wall, venting raggedly. Can still sense you through the bond, but it’s less distinct. You’re not on the ship anymore. He’s sure of it and he’s striding for the ground bridge. Whenever he figures out who took you off the ship, he’s going to dismantle them. Slowly. Painfully. And he can faintly scent you in this room as he stares at the gate and pulls up the last known coordinates. An energon mine?
• Immediately dazzled by the heat and sun, you squint as Tron warbles. And it feels like forever since you’ve been outside the ship. Since you’ve had fresh air and sunshine. Face tipping up toward the sky, the knot of tension in your chest eases. Feeling Tron grab at your shirt, you smile faintly even though you have no idea how you’re going to explain him to your family. Or feed him. He needs energon and you’re going to need a way to find some for him. Regularly. Hands starting to tremble as you realize that your sweet son is yet another shackle tying you to his awful dad, you know you didn’t think this through well enough. But Megatron’s people aren’t the only Cybertronians on earth. Maybe the Autobots aren’t as bad as Megatron has said? Turning in a slow circle, you have no real idea where you are, so you pick a direction and start walking.
