So the princess's advisor wasn't as much of a goofball as he had first been lead to believe. He really shouldn't be surprised that his fur prickle as a chill ran up his spin from the unrelenting gaze and underlining threat of the man's words. Still, he stood his ground, keeping everything about himself as neutral as possible, aware that any sign of hostility could see to him out the airlock and too friendly or too submissive would paint him as up to something.
" Whether you like it or not, you need someone with actual experience in the empire, as I understand it you lost your original mole. I have no doubt that the... defected galra will tell you that you'll only get so far trying to chip your way in blind. " his own stomach twisted at the thought of what was coming out of his mouth, but if he expected to live, he would have to play along. Waiting would take too long and very well get him nowhere.

Corans eyes sparkled at their combined success, and the Altean offers the blade a wide smile as he glances over at him. “You know, I’d say I have to agree! We’ve done a bang up job. I haven’t had this much excitement in millenia!”
It was hard not to crack at least a little bit of a smile at the Altean’s clear overstatement. All they’d really managed to do was clean the galley, though in this case it had been because Pidge had decided to bring a ‘pet’ on-board—one far bigger than the caterpillars he’d managed to catch a glimpse of in passing. Yet even for its size, it still managed to wreak more destruction than it’d looked capable of causing, all seemingly because of a steep distaste for Coran’s cooking.
“I would hardly call it exciting, but, I must admit that it feels good to be of use to someone again. I feel I’ve been idle much too long.”
"You know one of these days I'll have to teach you to make this stuff yourself." The Altean muses as he hands Lance a small tub of skin balm, a miffed, albeit amused expression on his features. "Then you won't have to take all of mine." He adds with a bit more of a smirk.
“AW YEAH! You’re the man, Coran!” Eagerly, he takes the balm into his hands, practically bouncing up and down in place. No one can ever have too much exfoliation, as far as he’s concerned. He’d consider spreading the wealth to the others, if he didn’t want it all for himself.
He runs a hand through his hair, a sly grin spreading across his lips.
“My face is gonna be as smooth as a Yel-more’s backside.”

Coran turns to look at Aryn curiously, absorbing all the little tidbits she said to keep in mind. He often asked the Paladins about earth, but Pidge, Lance, and Hunk seemed the type to enjoy feeding him misinformation.
“Chocolate… I don’t think I’m familiar with such a thing, but we share the giving of flowers in common. It’s an old tradition, but those who didn’t want to give flowers would gift some other thoughtful item, or often would simply speak their intentions.” Unlike him, being sheepish as he was about such matters.
“Grand gestures werent uncommon. Why, when Alfor confessed to his wife, it might as well have been a parade.” He chuckles gently, remembering the event fondly. Both of them had been so overjoyed, Coran was glad to have been there to support his old friend.
“Oh! Oh, right! You wouldn’t know what that is.” She grinned widely and held back a chuckle. “It’s just a type of candy. Like ‘sweets’ and stuff.” She hadn’t even thought about how universal chocolate was until you didn’t know the root ingredient and make of something from a different world.
“That’s real neat that we share that custom in common. I guess flowers are just too pretty to not. Gotta toss them at the people we like.” She let herself laugh that time and leaned her chin on the heel of her hand.
Listening as he recounted, she could hear the fondness blending in to his voice. “I bet that was a lot of fun. Pretty risky though, throwing a big shindig like that for a gesture that could change if the two people don’t work out. She shrugged. "Although... I guess if you have faith in it, why not go all out if that’s what you want to do.”
“From what I’ve heard of him, that does seem his style.” She hummed and grinned at him, tilting her head as she watched him inquisitively. “What about you? Prefer the big song and dance or the small and simple?” She had a feeling she knew though.

She looked up from her place on the floor as she did wall exercises. The voice was muffled somewhat by the closed door but the knocking echoed in easier. She sighed heavily, not really wanting to be disturbed but if she was needed, she was needed and that was that. She rolled to the side to get her legs off the wall and pushed herself up stiffly. Pulling along a towel as she got to her feet and used it to wipe up some of the sheen from her warm skin.
She hit the button and put a hand to lean on the outer frame as the door opened. “Ah yeah, should have known the tone of voice was too polite to be one of the kids.”
She slapped the towel over her shoulder to hang it there and looked to him expectantly. Coran was a busy man, rarely did he made ‘house calls’ without a reason. “What can I do you for, Coran?”

Aryn sat on the other end of the line with a look of mild confusion and attention, as a body and hand pointed to various things, the man, mostly off camera. “This is where you look. This is where the audio receiver is.” His hand pointing to the various spots. “This is how you disconnect once your done.”
“Yeah but how do I connect?”
“You’re already connected.”
“Wait, what?!” She looked back to the screen with wider eyes. “But I don’t-“
The alien pulled up the video feed before she finished the sentence and her whole demeanour changed as she saw Coran on the screen, a grin spreading over her lips, her eyes brightening as her brow lifted. It made her look less aged than she sometimes did.
“Coran! It’s good to see you!” She smiled to him, squinting a little from it. Although she immediately noted that what Pidge had told her, was not necessarily wrong. He looked... wired. Even just sitting there. “I know you’re busy, but I’ve called to check in. See how everyone’s doing and all that.” Really, how he was, but masking it under an umbrella of ‘everyone’ worked for now.

“Heh, is that so? You seem to have remedies for all sorts of things.” She bent back a bit until she felt her back loosen a bit more. “Okay now, what did I do is the question.”
She moved up to him again. “So I ran up.” Her eyes went down to her feet, adjusting where they more likely would have been planted. “Then I punched and you deflected.” She pushed her fist forward slower to the hand that had knocked it off course.
“Then... I had tried to get the heel of my hand up towards you, but by then, you were already at it.”
