Tell me, what does it feel like to be loved gently? (from compassneedle uwu)

to be loved so clearly, so resolutely still feels so new and strange--there were times kokushibō couldn't tell if she wished to cling tighter or if the adoration ached. gentleness still burned, too unaccustomed to it all.
but the result never actually changed: however greedy it made her, she clung to both dōma and akaza, and hoped her grip didn't bruise them.
akaza's question still gives her pause, for whilst kokushibō has not taken their love for granted there remains an irrational fear--that if she doesn't tread lightly, if she doesn't give extra care, it all may be taken away.
an urge to protect them, to keep them.
"...gentleness is still so strange to me," she begins to admit softly, "but it feels as if i've been drowning and finally reached a breath of air."
forcing air into the lungs of a corpse to give her life.
