I am thankful calling someone a foot away from me is the same as someone half a world away, while my information is converted from sound waves to digital pulses relayed to a 100+ foot tower between 0-3 miles away into a insulated cable miles long to a database center and directed via cable or satellite to the correct section of the world’s database back into another cable to another 100+ foot tower traveling between 0-3 miles in electronic impulses to a tiny electronic board the size of a fingernail that converts them back into sound waves.
