So this is a complete list of the compliments I’ve received over just the last three days! 1. A nurse who told me “you’re such a pretty girl!” at my immunology appointment... the receptionist also joined in the conversation and told me “and so lovely”! 2. An old lady who stared at me for ten minutes and then came over and sat next to me in the flabotomy waiting room and told me “I absolutely adore your hair... so colourful! Like a mermaid. And I love your outfit... it’s very 80’s, isn’t it?!”. 3. A little girl who saw me on the swings in the park and asked her mum if I was a princess... her mum said yes! 4. One of the elderly ladies in my yoga class; “I can’t wait to see what you wear every week! You always look so pretty, and so colourful... just looking at your clothes and hair cheers me up!. 5. A random woman who cane over to my and Blue’s table at Chapter and complimented my flower crown. 6. A random elderly gentleman who also approached our table and told me he loved my outfit, hair and flower crown... he gave me this amazing compliment; “you look like you should be on a postcard”! 7. Totally random lady stopped me on the walk home to say she loves my style, and I look beautiful. 8. My dance teacher; “those leggings are so bright... they make me feel happy!”... I love clothes. I genuinely believe that they are both armour, and art. And it makes me feel really happy that my clothes have made so many people smile over the last few days! I hope all these people know just how much their compliments mean to me. If the trend continues, soon my head will swell so much I won’t fit through doors! But honestly, all these compliments have really brightened up my week ☀️ remember guys, it only takes a second to say that nice thing you just thought... but that compliment could mean the world to someone. These days the news tends to portray our world as all doom and gloom, full of horrible people... I’d like to use the last three days as evidence of all the amazing people out there who continue to choose love and kindness over hate and violence.
