One of the best things about #compost is that it is a natural weed control. Yeah, you heard that right. Why is it that when you put compost down, you end up with weird mushrooms coming up? But the better question is, why isn’t there any weeds in that flower bed but a mushroom? You might want to look in the soil! The Resource Center, Chicago recycling go-to, now features a pick-up composting service.  Since my building already uses the Resource Center for their plastic, metal, glass, and paper recycling we should venture into building pick-up compost, but what would happen to my composter?  I would get rid of it and use that space for the bucket of kitchen waste.  I would still be composting on my backporch but I would lose the electric composter.
