I made some lozenges/troches in lab yesterday and they let us keep them! I was so confused wondering why they lab instructor was handing it back to me after checking it. But anyway here they are!

"Best suppositories I've seen today"
Compounding lab started with disaster but ended beautifully. To summarize, we had to melt down this waxy material (we call it "fatty base") and mix drug into it and pour it into a metal suppository mold, all before the waxy material solidifies. Like, the first "blank" batch took so long to solidify. So, my lab partner and I thought we'd be safe to take our time with the drug infused batch.
Oh my gawd we were so wrong! It was solidifying so fast as we mixed it with the drug (I almost started to cry). One of the professors had to come to our rescue and instructed us to put the whole mortar and pestle onto the hot plate to re-melt the base. My lab partner and I were two of the last students to finish.
But our suppositories came out hella amazing and uniform. There were no blotches of drug, and they were smooth shiny little baby-blue butt-bullets. One of the lab instructors told us that its the best suppositories he's seen today.
I'm typing this while in school. Now I have to do exam soon 😭
