Notes: this is for all the pharmacists and pharmacy techs out there! I wish there was a bit more representation for us in The Pitt ngl. 🥹
I intentionally put Abbot as a teetotaller just because Shawn Hatosy is. :)
The meds mistake was inspired by many similar incidents i've had to deal with! And the pink scrubs and space buns were a patient favourite in my clinic.
Hope you enjoy :') <3

You sighed and glanced at the clock. It was already past your usual time to clock out, and you were just about ready to call it a day but end of day jobs were just never ending. The thought of sinking into a hot bath was the only thing keeping you going. But of course, life had other plans.
A call from the ER interrupted the five minutes silence you've had all day. A very angry doctor was on the phone demanding your presence in the ER.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at his insufferable tone. You didn’t mind working with doctors, but some had that insufferable God complex that you preferred to avoid; anything to keep the peace you’d worked so hard to maintain.

Back in the ER, doctors were working on a patient who’d been brought it for the third time in a month for having a pulmonary embolism. This time it was a double PE which nearly ended up killing him.
“They say third time is a charm but fuck me Mr McCoy you need to stop coming in.” Dr Ellis was frustrated as she worked on the unconscious patient.
“Why the hell does he keep having PE’s?” Dr Abbot, the attending physician added.
“No damn clue. Is he even having his meds?” She asked. “Hey Ogilvie, could you have a quick look at McCoy’s prescription please?”
Ogilvie, a medical student, looked through the patient’s charts as well as his ordering history.
“It says here his Eliquis, his blood thinning medication was stopped.”
“What!” Abbot snapped. “Who the fuck by!” He snapped as he frantically tried to stabilise the patient.
“Our clinical pharmacist upstairs. Reasoning: Change to medication regime. She hasn’t documented anything else though.” Ogilvie replied with zero emotions or urgency to the situation.
“Get her ass down here, now!” Abbot yelled.

You walked through the ER doors, rocking your favourite pair of scrubs; bright pink Figs. You always believed that looking good made for a better day, so you opted for cheerful, vibrant colours. Your hair was styled in two small space buns, with the rest of it softly curled and resting on your shoulders. You sipped on your iced drink and found the charge nurse. “Hey Lena.”
“Hey sweet! What brings you to the chaos?”
“An angry phone call from one of your doctors.” You let out a sigh. “Oggy vee, something like that?”
“Ah yes thats our med student he’s over there.” She pointed at one of the rooms. “You should come see us more often.”
“As much as I love seeing your beautiful face Lena, I prefer peace and quiet.” You flirted. “Your doctors scare me and also I’m happy up there.”
“You look it, sweet.”
“Thank you.” You winked at her and walked over to that room as you sipped on your drink.
You walked into the madness of machines beeping, doctors rushing around, everyone in a hurry.
“Someone called for a consult?”
Your eyes met a doctor you hadn’t seen before. He looked to be in his mid 40s maybe 50s? He was handsome as hell.
Dr Abbot glanced over at you and then to Ellis, and then back at you with a double take. He not only was taken aback by your bright scrubs, but also your whole demeanour. You looked good, seemed happy and most importantly… fresh. Something the ER was not used to seeing.
“You from upstairs?” He asked.
“Yes…” you wanted to roll your eyes at him. “I’m the clinical pharmacist. What can i do for you Doctor…?”
“Abbot.” He replied rudely. “You stopped our patient’s blood thinners and he’s back here for the third time this month with a frickin’ PE!
Oof. He sounded pissed. You didn’t mind it though; you were used to way worse verbal abuse from the public.
“Let’s take a look, shall we?” You replied sarcastically and walked over to the computer looking through the patient chart.
“When did it say it got stopped?”
“Two months ago” a tall man with messy hair said.
“Hmmm.” You took another sip of your drink. Abbot glancing between you and Ellis and then mouthed what the fuck.
“Says right here, he is on blood thinners." You pointed at the screen.
Abbot didn’t believe you so he walked over to your side.
“There, Apixaban.” You took another sip. You looked over at Dr Abbot who was stood very closely to you. You couldn’t help but look at his lips as he bit down on them.
Once he’d seen the chart, after almost not believing you, Abbot shot Ogilvie a look of utter disbelief.
“Apixaban?” Ogilvie asked.
“That’s Eliquis!” Everyone said at the same exact time.
You rolled your eyes at them and took another sip. You looked at Abbot, again, who was still staring at you, almost admiring you… He then glanced over at your drink.
You pointed the straw towards him, as if to say, have a sip.
“What the hell is that and why is it green?” He mumbled.
“Iced vanilla matcha latte with a dash of cinnamon. Try.” You offered again and he took a sip.
You let out a laugh and he met yours with a small smile then letting out a gentle hmmm.
“Right so… am I needed or can I head back up?” You moved away from Abbot and approached the doors.
“Sorry…” Ogilvie mumbled.
“Hey — no stress. I swapped it so it’s cheaper for the patient. Does the same job…” you paused “but much easier on the credit card. Any hoo, Its a beautiful day to be savings live ehh? Keep up the good work!” You said with a smirk before walking out of the room.
Abbot closed his eyes and shook his head.
“Hey Lena” you walked over to her. “Who’s the older doctor in there?”
“Ohh don’t let him hear you say older.” She joked. “That’s Jack Abbot, night shift attending physician. You never met him before?”
“No... He was… intense.” You added looking back at the room, trying to catch another glimpse of him.
“That he is… but he’s kind. Don’t let your first interaction judge how you see him. He’s probably just stressed.”
“Oh no, I’m sure he is. He was fine. I just wondered.” You let out a huff, you couldn’t get your words out. “Right best get back up there so I can wrap up and get out of here. See you later Lena!”
You rushed upstairs, with a skip in your step. You loved what had just happened.
💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞
You finished for the night and as you were about to log off you got another call from the ER. “What!” You let out a groan. “Twice in one frickin’ night!”
You grabbed your stuff, your pink tote bag with stars on it, and headed back out the door, heading down to the ER.
“Lena!” You walked in, clearly in a bit of a strop.
“Sorry sweet something wrong with Mrs Fern’s meds. You’re needed in there.”
“Twice in one night!” You rolled your eyes. “I need my bed.” You let out a huff as you walked over to where you were needed.
“Back for a consult; aren’t you guys lucky!” You said enthusiastically as you walked in to find Ellis and a nurse you hadn’t met before, speaking with an older lady.
“Mrs Fern — what are you doing down here?” You recognised her. It was an older lady that had regular appointments at the hospital and popped in to the pharmacy a few times for her meds.
“You two know each other?” Ellis asked.
“Yeah, she comes in for her meds regularly. Mabel, are you okay?” You approached her gently, and sat on the bed opposite her. “What happened? You can tell me.”
“My meds… they’re gone. They just disappeared!”
This wasn’t the first time with Mabel. She kept coming back to the pharmacy to refill her prescription, always claiming she’d lost them. You suggested she get a memory check, but she refused, insisting she was fine. You couldn’t reach out to her family; she wouldn’t give you permission to.
“Why didn’t you come speak with me? I was upstairs all day.”
“I… I couldn’t remember my way upstairs.” Her tone had a hint of sadness.
You let out a sigh. “That’s okay. I can bring you your meds but first we’ve got to find out where they disappeared to, okay?”
You looked over at Dr Ellis, trying your best not to blush. She was incredibly beautiful, and a powerful charisma that took over the entire room.
“Looks like she’s had a fall but we noticed her prescription is being filled in smaller amounts. Hence the consult. Any idea why?” She asked.
“When I noticed she’s starting to forget I started giving her smaller amounts, more like fortnightly so I can keep an eye on what she’s taking and when. She uh… she’s forgetting things but refused me speaking to her family or putting in a request with the memory team.” You paused. “Are you thinking accidental overdose?”
Ellis nodded.
“Shit.” Your mind was ticking. “Alright let me try and speak with her.”
You walked back to Mabel. “Hey Mabel, do you remember speaking with me last week?”
She nodded.
“Do you remember what I said?”
She shook her head.
“That’s okay. Do you have your bag with you?”
She nodded. She looked intimidated, or rather scared.
“Can I… take a look?”
She nodded again.
You walked over to her bag, Ellis followed. You opened lots of med bottles, all pretty much full/ “Shit, she’s not been taking them.” Ellis said quietly.
“Has she done a urine sample yet?”
“Not yet, no.”
“She takes antibiotics to help stop recurring urinary tract infections.” You paused. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
“Yep” Ellis rubbed her face.
“Hey Mabel, when was the last time you went to the toilet?”
“I think a few hours ago.”
“Did it hurt?”
She nodded.
“Okay… that’s fine. I’m gonna need you to—.”
A voice interrupted. “Are the ER staff not running consults anymore?” Abbot said abruptly as he walked into the room. Mabel flinched at his sight.
“Don’t worry he scares me too.” You said quietly as you held her hand, shooting Abbot a look but not bothering with a response.
“The nurse here will take you to the toilet, I’ll be here waiting, you just need to pee in this cup. Do you think you can do that for me?”
Mabel hesitated at first but then finally agreed to it.
Abbot stood by the door hands in the air as the patient and nurse made their way to the bathroom. “What the fuck?” He snapped.
“Are you always this grumpy?” You replied sarcastically.
Ellis let out a whistle and shook her head. “I’m gonna go” she pointed at the door and quickly hurried out.
“Answer my question.”
“There wasn’t one. You just… swore.” You paused. “I’m not swearing back if that’s what you want.” You gave a casual shrug.
And he gave an annoyed sigh back.
“You seem stressed…” you said slowly. “Wanna talk?”
He chuckled and shook his head. “No, what I want is for everyone to just get their shit together.”
“Whoa, you really are in a bad mood.” You paused, carefully thinking your next line. “Mabel, the patient, is a regular at the pharmacy upstairs. She’s not been taking her meds and your staff needed me to come down and help. You do need them to get their shit together, Doctor Abbot.” You emphasised on his name, almost reminding him who he was. And most importantly, who you were.
“Well your services are no longer needed so…”
“Seriously? What is your problem?” You weren’t going to let an old man like him ruin a good day for you.
“My problem is your scrubs are too damn bright and you’re too…” he stopped.
“You have a problem with me because I look good? And feel good?” You got closer to him; not believing that he’d just said that. “Maybe you need therapy old man.” You added before storming out of the room.
You stepped outside, heart racing, trying to calm your breath. Lena was out there, casually having a cigarette. “You alright?” She asked.
“Yeah.. long day and night by the looks of it.”
“He pissed you off again?” She asked with a smirk on her face.
“He’s so incredibly rude Lena.” You looked back at the doors. “Unbelievable.”
She let out a laugh.
“What’s so funny?” You asked.
“I think he likes you.”
“Well he’s got a fucked up way of showing that.” You snorted. “I prefer the day shift staff, no offence.” You joked.
“Speaking of the day shift staff, I got invited by one of the doctors to trivia night.”
“You should go, it’s loads of fun.” She replied casually.
“Uhh I don’t know. I don’t know any of them and I’m not part of the team.” You stopped and hesitated but asked anyways. “Will Abbot be there?”
“Probably not.” Lena gave you a side eye followed by a smirk.
“Good, I’ll have a think about it then.”
“Hey pink!” Someone shouted and you looked over on who was pink was. Ellis was pointing at you.
“m—me?”
“Yes you, Mabel is asking for you.”
“Oh I can’t go back in. Your doctor may or may not have asked me to leave.”
“Oh screw him.” She winked. “Please?”
You couldn’t say no to her pretty face. “Fine.”
You walked back in hoping and praying you wouldn’t see Abbot. You spoke with Mabel who had a urinary tract infection, agreed to finally tell her family what had been going now with her memory problems. Ellis asked you to stay a few minutes and complete the chart if possible.
You sat at the hub, looked over at the time, way past your bed time. You quickly typed up your notes and turned over to Ellis. “Hey I got asked to go over to trivia night… are you coming?”
“Not sure yet, all I want is to see less of people and have an easy night.” She turned around to you. “You thinking of going?”
“Not sure yet.”
“Abbot won’t be going.” She added sneakily.
“Oh fuck yes then.” You let out a laugh but were quickly interrupted by his annoying voice.
“Abbot won’t be going where?”
Ellis’ eyes widened and tried to hide in a laugh. “Trivia night.”
You shot her a look of: why would you say that.
“Oh I love trivia night. That’s this weekend right?” He asked, and you completely ignored him.
“Yeah” she said.
“Not sure yet, still thinking about it.” He stood closer to you, hands in his pockets. “You going?”
You looked up at him not entirely sure if the question was directed at you. “Depends…” You logged out and stood up, meeting his eyes. “…on who will be there.”
You grabbed your bag. “See you later Dr Ellis.”
“See you later Dr Abbot.” He mumbled to himself as you walked off.
You turned round to him and gave him the finger, then blew Ellis a kiss.
That skip in your step was back, baby.
💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞 💫 💞
You were texting with Santos, one of the doctors in the day shift staff who invited you, about trivia night. You decided that you would go.
BYOB, santos replied.
How much? You asked.
How much can you handle?
You sent her a laughing emoji. Oh boy you could handle your alcohol, more than anyone would ever think.
You grabbed a taxi and headed to the address. Everyone was gathering at Robby’s place; apparently, he had the biggest and nicest house. You brought along some pink gin—your go-to drink. When you arrived, you met up with everyone, some familiar faces and a few new ones.
Whittaker — another day shift resident agreed to be the host. The other doctor who made the mistake the other night, Ogilvie, was also here.
You were relieved to see Ellis too.
“So to make it fair, each group will have an attending.”
What?
He continued. “Each group will have at least one doctor and one nurse.”
Who the fuck is the other attending?
You glanced over at the stairs just as Robby and Abbot were walking down. You couldn’t help it… you rolled your eyes, probably a little too obvious.
“Although we do have one clinical pharmacist on hand so—“
“MINE.” Abbot said firmly. “I call first dibs.”
Robby put his hands out. “That’s not fair!”
“I’m right here you know.” You said.
Robby mumbled a sorry. Luckily for you though, Ogilvie was with the other team.
Your team had Abbot, unfortunately, Santos, Mateo and Ellis.
Then other team had Robby, Langdon, Jesse, McKay and Ogilvie.
“Right — the trivia will be mix of everything. Heads or tails?” He pointed at the team.
“Head!” Abbot shouted excitedly.
You whispered.. “Heads, huh? Guess that’s the only thing you’re good at getting.”
He looked at you with utter shock and disbelief and mouthed what the fuck. Santos let out a loud laugh and took a sip of her drink.
The other team started first. You mumbled again “guess even head is not that good.”
“Hey we’re not he same fucking team here.” He hissed at you.
You put your tongue out.
“Oh we also need a team name!” Whitaker added.
“Code blue.” Robby said quickly.
You turned around to everyone. “How about hot docs?” You paused. “Oh wait Abbot is on our team so that would be inaccurate.”
Ellis let out another loud laugh.
Abbot’s eyes widened and was completely speechless.
“Resus rangers!" Mateo said.
“Oh thats good.” You added and had another sip of your drink.
Code blue won the first question.
Second question was directed at your team.
“In which year did the Titanic sink?” Whittaker asked.
Ellis muttered fuck.
“1912,” Abbot whispered, his voice low but confident.
You leaned in, matching his energy, your lips curling into a mischievous grin. “You would know... you were probably still alive then.”
You watched his face, waiting for a reaction. His eyebrows shot up and he looked genuinely stunned at your quick reply.
He cleared his throat and said “1912.”
“Correct!” Whittaker asked.
“Code blue. What is the largest planet in our solar system?”
You whispered to yourself Jupiter. Abbot stole a quick glance at you, admiring the way you just whispered gently.
“Mars!” Ogilvie shouted.
“Wrong! Resus rangers?”
You looked over at the team, Santos and Mateo with blank expressions on their faces. Ellis shrugged when you looked at her.
“I’m pretty sure it’s Jupiter.” You said.
“You into space?” Mateo asked curiously.
“Yeah.. got a thing for it.” You bit your bottom lip.
Abbot turned to Whittaker. “Jupiter.”
“Correct!”
Few questions later and your team was still winning.
“Rangers — Who painted the Mona Lisa?”
“Leonardo da Vinci” Abbot added.
“Did you meet him or—.”
“Oh for fuck’s sake!” He hissed at you and you let out a laugh.
Ellis slammed her hand on the table and let out another loud laugh.
“Leonardo DiCaprio” Abbot said confidently. “Da Vinci!” He corrected himself. "Da Vinci!!”
“Sorry Abbot — first answer was wrong.”
“What the fuck dude!!” Ellis slapped Abbot’s arm.
He pointed a finger at you. “She threw me off my game!!”
“You just cost us a point old man” you added.
“Right me and you, outside now.” He pushed back his chair.
“What you wanna fight or…” you replied sarcastically.
“What!” His jaw tightened, trying to mask it. “No, to talk!”
You shrugged. “Alright but I think I can beat your ass.”
You met him outside, after closing the glass double doors behind you.
“What is your problem?” He asked.
“I don’t have a problem.” You shrugged. He looked incredibly handsome standing by the pool and you hoped your blushing wasn’t so.. obvious. ‘I’m just having fun.”
“Well.. stop attacking me maybe?” He looked upset.
“You could also try and be nice to me…” you added then saw a small figure walking towards you. It was a cat.
You fucking hated cats, and were also allergic to them.
“Oh no, no, no” You shrieked. “Get that fucking thing away from me!”
He looked back and grinned. “You’re scared of cats?”
“No” you tried to slow down your breathing. “Just allergic.”
He picked up the cat and walked towards you.
“Abbot no!” You begged. “Stop, no!”
He kept walking back and you tried to walk backwards.
“You’re a doctor for God’s sake! You should know about allergies!” You begged.
He let out a laugh.
“Actually you’re not a very good one so maybe —“ he charged towards you with the cat and as you tried to run, you slipped, hit your back before falling into the water.
You gasped for air, the cold water sending a shock through your system. The pain in your back shot down to your leg, but you pushed it aside, focusing on getting to the side of the pool.
You had a nice outfit on.
You’d done your hair.
You put makeup on.
Only for a bastard like Jack Abbot to go and ruin it all.
You got out of the pool, the outline of your pink bra showing through your white top. Abbot tired not to look.
“You motherfucker!” You charged at him, wanting to push him back in the pool.
“Please, no.” He put his hand out. “Don’t!”
You put your arms around him, trying to get him to move but he was freakishly strong.
“Oh shit they actually are fighting!” Santos stood by the glass doors. Everyone rushed over, watching you two argue by the pool.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” He replied, trying to catch his breath.
“Don’t tell me you can’t swim.” You replied sarcastically; you were soaked and dripping water on the concrete ground.
He lifted up his trousers and you saw a glimpse of his prosthetic.
“Great way to come out of this situation. Thank you for your service.” You mumbled sarcastically and limped back to the house.
“You alright?” Mateo asked.
“Yeah fine. Just need a towel please? And a change of clothes.”
You avoided looking anyone in the eye — you were more embarrassed than anything.
Robby quickly hurried upstairs.
“Is your back hurting?” Abbot was behind you, voice much gentler this time. You shot him a look of fuck off.
Robby gave you a towel and you wrapped yourself up in it and headed upstairs into the bathroom. Few minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
You replied with a defeated tone. “Yes?”
“I have a change of clothes and an ice pack for your back.” You heard Abbot’s voice and rolled your eyes.
You opened the door with a towel wrapped around you, not wearing anything underneath.
He blinked, clearly caught off guard. You took the things from him and mumbled a thanks.
“Is your back alright?” He asked in a gentle voice.
“Uh.. I don’t know. It hurts but I’ve not been able to see it.”
“Want me to have a look?”
You let out a chuckle. “No.”
“You could have a serious injury. Please.” He begged.
You shut the door in his face. You put on the shorts he’d given you and a large hoodie. It smelt like him. You wondered if it was his.
You brushed your hair, tried your best to remove your makeup. The hoodie you had been wearing covered all of you, including the shorts he gave you.
You opened the door and he was still standing there, shoulders dropped down, his expression apologetic and genuine.
You turned your back to him and lifted off your hoodie.
“That’s a nasty bruise.” He put one hand on your hip, and another on your spine checking all is fine. You flinched when he touched the bruise and he mumbled sorry.
His touch gave you goosebumps and you hoped and prayed he didn’t see them.
“Ice it, don’t lift anything too heavy. Next time you’re at work let’s do an x-ray.”
“Fine.” You replied coldly as you turned around to face him. “Are we done?”
“I’m sorry.” He whispered.
“Apology accepted.” You replied trying not to meet his eyes. You grabbed your ice pack and headed downstairs.
You winced as you stood, the pain still lingering in your back, but you shook it off. You grabbed the tequila bottle, poured yourself a shot, and tossed it back without a second thought.
Everyone looked in amusement until you turned back and showed them the bruise and everyone muttered ow.
“Right well… Resus Rangers have won!” Whittaker spoke. “And next is… any fancy anything specific?”
“Truth or dare.” You added and everyone shot you a look.
“Thats a dangerous game.” McKay added.
You shrugged.
“I like dangerous.” Santos replied.
“Amen to that.” Ellis added.
“Lets do it then.” Langdon clapped in excitement.
Everyone sat around the table, and you avoided sitting next to Abbot or even meeting his eyes.
Santos spun the bottle and it landed on McKay and Robby.
“Truth.” He smiled.
“Where’s the friskiest place you’d ever done it at work?”
“Starting strong.” He laughed and shook his head. “I’m boring, on-call room.”
“Thats it!?” She added with a laugh.
Bottle landed on Whittaker and Santos.
“Truth or dare.” Whittaker asked.
“Dare.” She replied confidently.
He dared her to do a handstand, by the pool and she did it effortlessly, despite the many drinks she’d already had.
Bottle spun again, and landed on you and Abbot.
You asked. “Truth or dare?”
“Truth.”
You mumbled boring.
“You give off… small dick energy. So is it actually small or just your energy?”
Mateo spat his drink out and Robby was unable to hold in his loud laughter.
“I can show you if you want.” Abbot stared into your eyes.
Someone choked on their drink.
“Big enough.” He added.
“Need a number, Abbot.” You replied coldly despite your heart hammering in your chest.
He got off his chair and walked over to you and whispered a number.
It was big. His words sent a shiver down your spine.
“Hey that’s not fair!” McKay added.
“Nowhere does it say the answer has to be revealed to everyone.” Abbot quickly replied.
You bit on your bottom lip, hard, not being able to get the size out of your head.
Whittaker spun the bottle again. It landed on you and Langdon.
He asked. “Truth or dare.”
“Truth.” You raised an eyebrow. You weren’t strong enough for a dare, not just yet.
“What happened between you and Abbot?” He asked.
The room went quiet.
“You need to ask him why he was so rude to that one shift.” You replied. “I don’t have a problem with him but he has a stick up his ass that needs taking it out. Next time call for a surgical consult, not a pharmacy one.”
“Maybe it’s his dick getting in the way.” Santos said drunkenly and everyone burst into laughter.
The game picked up speed, the dares becoming more intense with each round.
Anyone who refused to do a dare, or dodge a question, had no choice but to take a drink
Another bottle spin landing on you and Ellis.
She asked “truth or dare?”
“Dare.” You replied with confidence.
“I dare you to kiss me.”
Everyone let out a ooooh. Without hesitation, you leaned over the table and gave her a kiss. Its as your first time kissing a girl actually, and you enjoyed it.
You glanced over at Abbot who was gripping on his glass, avoiding your eyes.
The bottle was spun again landing on you and Abbot.
“Truth or dare.” He asked.
“Dare.” The mix between gin and tequila has given you the confidence boost you’ve been needing.
“Kiss me.”
You froze for a moment, not wanting to breathe.
You reached over the table towards him, but instead of leaning in for a kiss, you grabbed the tequila bottle and poured it straight into your mouth.
Someone banged on the table in expression, others laughed.
You grabbed the bottle and spun it, landing on you and abbot, again.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” You said.
“Truth or dare?”
You paused for a second, wondering which would be worse to choose.
“Dare.”
He quickly said. “Same dare.”
“You can’t do that.” You looked at everyone. “He can’t do that!”
Everyone shrugged and no one replied.
“Give me the tequila.” You reached for the bottle but Langdon pulled it back. “Actually you can’t forfeit twice in a row.”
“Says who!”
“We literally discussed it at the start.” McKay replied, head resting on the table.
“Alright. How do you wanna do this?” You stood up. “Here, on the table?” You added confidently.
Ellis was cry laughing at this point and you shot her a look of please help.
He pointed to upstairs.
“Fine.” You marched up the stairs, heart racing so fast it was about to come out of your chest. Abbot followed you up the stairs. You leaned against the wall, arms crossed, eyes closed. “Get it over with.”
You didn’t hear him walk towards you. You opened your eyes only to find him standing few steps away, not moving. “What!”
“I’m not kissing you.” He added.
“You are so fucking indecisive! Make up your mind!” You threw your hands up in the air.
He took another step towards you, closing the distance completely. He pushed you gently against the wall, and pulled each arm down to your side. He moved closer and whispered. “I’ll only kiss you if you want me to kiss you.”
Your breathing was heavy, matching his. Your mind went blank and words failed you.
“Okay then.” He took a step back. “That settles it.”
You stood there trying to catch your breath.
“My happiness scared you?” You asked before he walked off.
“What?”
“You said the other day. I annoyed you because my scrubs were too bright and.. you never continued your sentence. I presume because I looked happy?”
He couldn’t look into your eyes and went completely speechless.
“Okay then.” You said quietly and walked back downstairs.
The tension between the two of you lasted all evening. You kept glancing at each other, but your banter had now stopped. Your energy had dipped down. You couldn’t handle any more tequila or gin. You needed your bed.
Another bottle spun, landing on Ellis and Langdon who dared each other to an arm wrestling competition.
The bottle continued its spin, Ellis dared you to take your shorts off. You took a shot instead.
Next bottle, McKay asked Abbot a question.
“What’s your kink?”
Oh my God.
He instantly blushed.
“Oh this is gonna be a good one!” Robby rubbed his hands together.
“I…” he cleared his throat. “Dominance & Submission.” He said letting out a nervous laugh.
“WHAT!” Ellis jumped out her seat. “WHAT!”
“Ohhhhh my goodness.” Robby said laughing.
You sunk in your chair.
Another bottle spun, Santos dared Whittaker to take his trousers off. He sat with just a t-shirt and his boxers.
Ogilvie at one point was dared to jump in the pool and without hesitation he dived right in.
The bottle spun again and it landed on you and Abbot.
“You must be fucking joking.” You added.
“Truth… or dare?”
“Truth.” You quickly replied.
“Have you ever had a one night stand?”
“No.” And that was the truth, you hadn’t. Abbot cleared his throat and adjusted his position.
Bottle landed on Langdon and Santos.
“Truth.” Santos said.
“Have you ever lied on a chart?”
Robby spat his drink out.
“Huh. No.” She replied sharply.
Another bottle spun landing on you and Robby.
“Why haven’t you had a one night stand?”
The room went quiet.
“I uh… I’ve only ever been with one guy, in med school. Fresh-faced men never appealed to me."
“WHAT!” Ellis shouted, jumping out of her seat again. “Ooh this night is gooood.”
“You’re fucking missing out girl” Santos added.
You blushed and shrugged, pulling your hoodie up. Abbot on the other side cleared his throat.
Another few rounds of dinks along the with more spinning of the bottle, it landed on Abbot and you.
“Fucking finally.” You said. “Dr Abbot — what would you like?”
“Dare.” He spat out.
“I think you’ve gotta show us and not just tell me how big it is.”
“Oh my God. Nope, I’m out of here.” Robby quickly walked away from the table. McKay had now perked up.
“C’mon, big guy.” Your heart was racing. You had felt him on you earlier tonight, you also knew the size. Just needed the visual effects.
“I think we can all agree that no one wants to see it.” Abbot said.
“Drink, then.” You said.
Langdon said. “He doesn’t drink.”
“What?” You spat out.
“Not a single sip this evening.” Abbot answered.
“You must be fucking joking! That’s not fair.” You argued. “So what now?”
“Gotta be in private.” Whittaker shrugged.
You dug yourself a big, big hole.
Abbot moved slowly off his chair, with a smirk on his face. He walked up the stairs and you hesitated. You turned around to them and said “Can I drink and take back the dare?”
Everyone let out a laugh and quickly shook their heads.
You followed Abbot upstairs; he’d walked into the bedroom. You walked in and closed the door.
“Are you okay with this?” He asked.
“Me?” You were surprised. “Yeah of course — I would’t have said it otherwise.” You tried to reply confidently, although the trembling of your lips might have given it away.
“Here goes nothing.” He quickly unbuckled his trousers and dropped them. You looked at everything around but him.
You panicked and closed your eyes, not because you didn’t want to look, but you realised that this Is probably more uncomfortable for him given how sober he was.
“Ready when you are.” He added.
Your eyes were still close. Heat crept up your neck and you felt yourself go bright red.
“Okay this is awkward as fuck.” He added.
You tried to steady your breathing; you wanted to open your eyes. You turned around and faced the door. You opened your eyes and said. “I’m sorry I didn't realise you’ve been sober this whole evening. I wouldn’t have asked otherwise.”
“Sober or drunk, the courage is still there sweetheart.”
He called you sweetheart. Fuck, he definitely should not have said that.
“Your happiness didn’t scare me off” he whispered gently. “I uh… you sparked something in me.”
You swallowed hard.
He continued. “Seeing you, your charisma, how happy and cheerful you were… I'm not used to that. I’m friends with the darkness.”
“Maybe you need therapy.” You whispered back, still facing the door.
“Been there, done that.” You heard him pull his trousers back up so you turned around.
“Shall we start again?” You asked. "I need we need a do over."
“Sounds like a good idea.” He took a step forwards. “I’m Jack.” He put his hand out for you to shake. You put your shaking hand in his.
Your lips trembling and the shaking of your breath was all too obvious.
Your hand was still holding jack’s when you pulled him slowly towards you. He put his hands on your hips, and went in for a deep but gentle kiss. You didn’t want it to end so you pulled him closer, feeling the heat of his body as his lips moved against yours.
You let your hand wander down, you undid his trousers and let them fall. You looked down, it certainly was big. You let out a small laugh.
“Whats so funny?” He whispered between kisses.
You smiled.
“Bigger than I imagined,” you whispered, your words coming out softer than you intended.
He kissed your neck and you tried to steady yourself. You took his t-shirt off and were completely speechless about his entire body. Not only was he muscly; everything was curved and defined.
You didn’t hesitate, not when you felt this good, when he carefully removed your shorts, the weight of the moment making your pulse race. He kept your hoodie on, his hoodie.
His hands wandered and you couldn’t help but bite down on his shoulder, trying to hold in a loud moan. He gently slid two fingers in.
“Tell me when to stop.”
“Don’t every stop.” You gasped for air.
And he didn’t. He certainly did not stop as he reached for places you have’t been touched before.
You reached for him too, hard.
He checked in with a whisper “you okay?”
You barely registered your response, the words tumbling out almost desperately. “Don’t stop.”
Despite the sex being quick, it was mind-blowing. As you both came crashing on top of each other, all you managed to say was "nice to meet you, Jack."
It was a wonderful day. I went to the exam and I had not even finished the material. I felt terrified and afraid. Then I thought, what is the worst that could happen? Why am I so nervous? So I decided to relax and just let things happen. I reviewed what I had read and took the exam. When I finished, I was not sure about anything, but... I said, let it not be my fault that he suddenly added two lectures, so I gave it to them and left when I left I heard everyone was saying that most of the choices were A and D. I was shocked and happy, so another exam ended well ! ... Now I have pharmaceutical accounts on Wednesday. I will study today
January 12th is National Pharmacist Day! Today recognizes and promotes the role of pharmacists in improving the health of others.
For today, Howard letterpress printed a woodcut, made roughly 130 years ago, from Lewis Winter Collection. The woodcut is of a cross with Rx in the middle, which is the symbol for pharmacy. We are not sure why Winter kept the corners on the woodcut. This was printed with purple rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
I baked a cheesecake today for my pharmacist. I love baking people cakes. It makes them very happy, which makes me very happy!!! It's little things like that that can make a person's day better and it's so easy to do. I love doing this like this!! 😁😍
Throughout her life, St. Gemma was to be favored with many mystical experiences and special graces. She wished to become a nun, but her poor health prevented her from being accepted. On June 8, 1899, Gemma received the stigmata. Gemma often saw her guardian angel, with whom she was on familiar terms and sent on errands. In January of 1903, Gemma was diagnosed as having tuberculosis. She died quietly in the company of the parish priest, on April 11 at age twenty-five.
