OG Boston Rob and Amber are so kingdon coded im shaking. Yakavi (dusk - night shift) vs Mataka (morning) -
Survivor Reality TV Show AU: Kingdon Mel/Frank; teen; no tw
Frank makes Robby bring Mel into the Mataka alliance after she wins the first immunity challenge for their tribe. It's a puzzle.
"I do them all the time at home," she tells them chipperly with the seashell winner's necklace tinkling with every step. She grins at Robby. "Thanks for getting all the pieces for us."
"Sure," Robby says. Frank's only known Robby for a day but knows a blow-off when he sees one.
Frank pulls him aside as soon as they're back at camp. "Look, it's you, me, Dana and Mel. Final four."
Robby scoffs. "Not Mel. Collins."
Shaking his head, Frank's gotta think quick. "It's either her or I'm out." He eyes Robby down. "It's her or it's no one."
Robby agrees.
Mataka is the powerhouse tribe. They pick off Yakavi one by one.
At the merge it's clear Abbot's gunning to join Robby's alliance. He needs the numbers. He's bringing Shen and Ellis. Robby's gotta pick two people too. Dana and Frank has to be his first choice. But he sees the way Frank leans over and helps Mel skin a fish. How his hand hovers near her while they walk across slippery rocks. His floppy hair that he brushes back when he's around her. Even though his wedding ring glints in the sunlight. Robby picks Frank and Mel. That's the final six.
Frank wins the immunity idol on the challenge leading into the final five and he knows Mel's got the votes to go home. Robby's going to flip on them and pair up with Shen/Abbot.
He needs to convince them that he'll cut Mel loose.
"I'm married, Mel," he tells her on the beach. "If I stick with the rest of the crew I can probably get Robby back next round. Or win an immunity idol."
Mel's eyes are searching his face as he breaks her heart on national television.
"I'm sorry. I think this is gone on long enough between us," he says. He kicks the sand.
Mel covers her mouth with her hand as she cries. She reaches out to touch him and he recoils. "I need the money, Frank," she says. She's got Becca and student loans.
"I need it too." Rehab. Two little kids. An estranged wife, but Mel doesn't know that yet. No one does. He thought he'd do better if he had a picture-perfect family. He twists the wedding band on his finger. "I respect you enough to do this before tribal council."
Mel nods and bites her lip. She cries the rest of the day and tries pulling him away from the others to reason with him.
Everyone notices: Robby. Shen. Abbot. They're silent walking into tribal council like they're going to the gallows.
Mel uses her buff as a tissue to wipe her snot.
"You're doing the right thing," Abbot whispers to him as they sit down.
They get to the vote and Jeff Probst's eyes gleam as he holds the bucket. "If anyone would like to play an immunity idol, now's the time to do it."
Everyone's dead silent for a moment, even the jury. Then Frank leans over and taps Mel on the shoulder. "I think you're going to need this," he says as he gives her the necklace.
Abbot's eyes go wide and his expression changes. "You've got to be kidding me."
Jeff reads the votes. Three for Mel, which don't count. Two for Shen. He's voted off the island. Mel holds Frank's hand as Jeff extinguishes the torch.
The final four: Robby/Abbot. Mel/Frank.
"We've got to convince them you're giving me the immunity idol again," Mel tells him after he wins the next challenge.
The vote will be 2:2, but if they can trick Robby and Abbot into voting for the wrong person their votes won't count.
"I think we should kiss," Mel says.
Frank's eyes go wide and he can practically hear the producer's excitement as the camera zooms in on the two of them huddled together in the jungle.
"We kiss and I demand you give me the idol," Mel explains. "I think it'll work, don't you?"
Frank knows it'll work. Robby and Abbot now believe he's totally in love with Mel. Which he is.
They kiss in the water. On the shore. Behind a rock. In the jungle. They don't say another word to Robby and Abbot. But Mel's eyes follow them everywhere. She talks a lot about Becca and how much she needs the money.
Frank keeps the idol.
They vote out Robby.
"Do we even need to have a formal vote?" Jeff asks them when they make it back for the final three. Mel's won the idol this time. She glances at Abbot.
"No, I don't think so."
Frank nods in agreement.
Jeff grins big because this is incredible television. "Okay, Abbot, safe to say it's your time to go."
When they get to the live finale a month later Frank knows that Mel's taking home the pot. He's broken up with Abby officially. A ring sits in his pocket. They can split the cash, 50/50. He's more interested in the real prize: taking home the girl.
He pours his heart out after the final vote.
Mel wins.
He proposes.
She glances at him on one knee. She covers her hand with her mouth and says, "Frank, I think you really need to work on your marriage first."
And then she walks off stage. One million dollars richer.
Listen. As a Lewis and Merc fan. LEAVE SEB OUT OF THIS.
I dont understand how some cant see the difference so I’ll spell it out; Seb never touched another drivers’ car that was later investigated and deemed illegal. It’s actually that mind numbingly simple.
So leave him out of this. And dont drag him into it again.
Like RF1 got 2 visual novels and a sequel (frontier (though I'm counting it as it's own game)), RF4 got a remake and a ton of extra stuff and RF5 is getting a lot of stuff for it's release.
And what has RF2, 3, frontier and oceans had in the last few years? To my knowledge this year RF3 had a cafe thing. That's it.
@anon: firstly, i’m taking this in good faith, but i have no evidence that you’re truthful and either way i fully intend not to get involved in whatever’s going down.
secondly, i’m a well know avatar blog?! i am ... super complimented and surprised to hear this!
