Just received an email that my accout has gotten the email changed and I'm worried about the future of my blog.

Congrats! Tell me about it! Did DA actually help you out? Do you know how they hacked you to begin with? -- @omnicenos
Unfortunately Deviantart didn’t provide me with any real information at all, but they did help me get my account back, albeit slowly. They didn’t really have anyone talk to me about it directly. Almost everything I got from DA looks like it has been copy pasted. No one even indicated that they recognized that I hadn’t been the one who changed the address. I basically had to confirm a bunch of information with them, and they restored access. I received a notice that there was evidence of suspicious activity on my account, but not until almost a week after I’d first contacted them about it. I’m still not exactly sure what happened.
I also got an email that someone was trying to request changing my twitter password on the same day. Nothing came of it. Might have been a coincidence.
I also talked to a number of other people who lost access to their accounts at the same time. It does seem like it happened to a bunch of people at once. Though hard to say, because on a site as big as DA you’re going to have compromised accounts pretty frequently, just because of weak passwords and whatnot.
I strengthened a lot of my passwords, and made the handful I know of that aren’t unique, unique. So hopefully that fixes that. But yeah, still pretty unnerving.
So... it looks like my Deviantart account has been compromised. Got a notice earlier today that the email had been changed. Wasn’t me. Went to log in, couldn’t. So. Um. Yikes. :-/
Contacted the help desk about this and still haven’t heard anything. Also found out that the help desk seems to be handling correspondence through the old account that I don’t have access to, and possibly is sending stuff to the changed email, so maybe that’s why I haven’t heard anything. Fun times.
Let that be a lesson to me, kiddos. Even if I’m not yet exactly sure where I messed up...
Twitter account compromised help
My Twitter account was compromised and I only realized it when I go check my email and I realized I was changed into a completely different person with tweets in languages I don't even know, arabian or something. I think I was aware of unknown tweets appearing on my dash about 1-2 month ago but I didn't pay attention to it because I never used twitter anyway. That was really careless of me.
I resetted my password, deleted the tweets and unfollowed 300+ spam accounts mine was hooked to. I think I'm safe for now and the email I used was not an important one, but is there anything else I need to know?
