Nicolas and Wang Present on Blockchain at Two Events
Kervins Nicolas ’20 (M.S.) and Yi Wang, assistant professor of computer and electrical engineering, presented papers on Blockchain in IEEE UEMCON at Columbia University and IEEE Sarnoff at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Nicolas presented a paper entitled “A Novel Double Spending Attack Countermeasure in Blockchain” with Wang, his master thesis advisor, at the 2019 IEEE Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference (UEMCON) at Columbia University on October 10-12.
Last month, they also presented another paper entitled “Comprehensive Overview of Selfish Mining and Double Spending Attack Countermeasures” at the 2019 40th IEEE Sarnoff Symposium at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Sept 23-24. This paper is co-authored with George Giakos, professor of electrical and computer engineering.
Both papers are the outcome of Nicolas’s master thesis research. They will be published in the conference proceedings and appear in IEEExplore.
