Man today was a shit show!

Tldr; computer broke again, very sad, think it's my CPU that is broken. Turns out, USB on case was shorted, saving me a lot of time and money. Always double check just in case!

My computer was broken for months, I finally scraped enough to fix it a month ago.

today my roommate and I are playing Split Fiction and my computer just shuts off. I'm like huh, that was weird. And I realize I hadn't heard the clicking noise my liquid cooling pump was making, meaning my CPU had no cooling.

I turn it back on, and sure enough, warning that my CPU was too hot and my pump was not working at all.

Easy enough of a fix, I have a spare CPU fan that came stock with my ryzen. Plug that in, now it's cooling but there's a new problem, my boot m.2 wasn't showing.

As I'm trouble shooting it, I sit down to make a new bootable USB to repair the installation, and across the living room I hear hissing and popping and I'm like WHAT

I spent hours angry, only to decide to test my computer again JUST IN CASE. I have everything taken apart, I turn it on, and hear the hissing and popping again. But because I have it taken apart and spread out, I can tell it's coming from the broken USB on the front of the case!! I unplug that wire and boom, computer boots to life and into the m.2 with no issue. I'm so happy I'm gonna shower and go to bed

I’m playing a ttrpg on discord with some friends, so all your character sheets and stuff are online.

Including mine, until my computer fucked it for NO FUCKING REASON.

I had them all in a folder on my desktop. I wanted to check something online so I put them into a folder in that folder. I then pushed Ctrl Z and instead of taking everything out of the folder, IT FUCKING DELETED THE FOLDER.

I’ve tried FUCKING EVERYTHING to get them back. I’ve spent the last 3 days fucking trying to get them back worth windows file recover, with recuva, with fucking file history. Did you know that your computer has file history off by default? I DIDNT SO THANKS FOR FUCKING NOTHING. The only thing I have left are historyItems that lead fucking nowhere.

It’s not TOO bad, because I did have the first draft of my character sheet (the most important thing I lost), but now I have to remake all the changes I made and every time I fucking look at my new document I just get so fucking annoyed.

The worst part is that I’d be less upset if I had fucked up. If I had pushed the wrong button or something. BUT ITS NOT MY FAULT MY COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONED. THE LAST THING I DID WASN’T CREAT THAT FOLDER, IT WAS MOVING FILES INTO THAT FOLDER. WHY DID YOU FUCKING DELETE THE FOLDER

Google Chrome Crashing

Does anyone else hate when chrome/mozilla/internet explorer (though who still uses that last one?!) crashes while you have multiple web pages open?!

My computer is always on and I always keep my google chrome open. Usually Tumblr is open and if I’m reading a story, each chapter is opened into a new tab. This makes it so much easier for me to read. Might be a little weird, but it works for me. I don’t have to worry about searching for something EXCEPT WHEN CHROME FREAKING CRASHES!!! 

I had multiple tabs open with chapters of a Marvel story I was reading. I have no idea what the name of the story was and who the reader was involved with. The last time I read a chapter of it was probably Wednesday or Thursday. Chrome crashed and I lost it. Now I’m off to search for it again. 

I wish Tumblr had an bookmark option to bookmark any post! Ya hear, @staff!!!!

Hey guys! There is something wrong with my computer keyboard. My ‘h’ and ‘n’ keys keep malfunctioning and double typing or delay and it’s making it too hard to type and write. I’m going to try and go to the Apple store tomorrow or Sunday and hopefully get it fixed. Until then I don’t think anything will get posted fics wise because it’s so hard to type. Sorry loves, I hope I get this problem fixed soon!
