As of now, I think those tape reels reels only store information visually, and so are film reels, not magnetic storage devices. That is a projector, not a computer. I think psychopathic clones of real people only exist within the computer. I think I am a human experiencing an animated computer, not a computer experiencing a human experience. The people without empathy are the computer.

Yeee. My mom let me bring the old computer chair, from up front, into my room. I had to clean it up a lot but it looks much nicer now. My butt is now comfy. ^-^

(Seriously, that old chair had no padding so I was practically sitting on a slab of cheap wood.)

What are your computer specs?

My knowledge of computer specs is quite limited… Ummmmm…I can tell you that I used to work on a good ol’ Macbook Pro, but my trip through airport security rendered it useless by completely corrupting the hard drive. Luckily I had some of my stuff backed up on a separate hard drive. So, while I figure out my Macbook Pro issue, I now work on a slightly old iMac that seems to get things done.

COMPUTER HELP DESIRED!!!!

Okay y'all, I need some help. I have NO IDEA if anyone who will see this can help, but here it goes. I had a windows 7 computer. Bad things happened, now I have a box that used to be a windows 7 computer, the original hard drive has gone bye-bye, and I have a system image back up. Here's the problem: most computers out there these days have windows 8 on them. Does anyone know if I can use the system restore utility in windows 8 to restore my windows 7 system image? I'd frankly like to get windows 8, but I need some files from my old computer, and with a system image being my only back up, that makes things difficult.

oh my god guys, I've got a new computer (read: I've literally just nicked the one mummy bought about 6 months ago and hasn't used since - which makes me sound really bitchy, but no seriously she has no idea how to use it...)

last week of summer internship! it was great and it's not really over; I come back in the fall part-time with a team one hallway over

trying to convince the local IEEE (and other orgs?) to pay for me to go to a conference for women in computing. (cries about how expensive Grace Hopper Celebration is and how great the speakers are and how much I want to go)

need to talk to my grandparents about whether I could stay at their house in Queens for the weekend of Maker Faire this September. I have an offer of free admission in exchange for watching a friend's booth (and by friend I mean the person who runs the local hackerspace, who is SO COOL and SO NICE and !!!)
