The biggest problem with computer pollution is not when they are in use, but rather when they are disposed of. Many of the products are very hard to properly dispose of. Energy consumption is certainly a problem. Especially when you spend all of your day on Facebook, twitter, and yes, Tumblr. If you can cut the computer usage down to the stuff you need to do, for work or school per say, then your energy bill could be much less. Even unplugging it when you aren't using it can help. It's similar to leaving on devices like Xbox and PlayStation when you aren't using them.
