Yes.  They have a natural dynamic that really fits together.  I absolutely think El wants to take care of Q from the very beginning both as a friend and later as a lover/partner.  It’s only natural (to me) that that would carry over into the bedroom, with El saying “don’t worry about anything, baby, just let me handle everything.”

Honestly I’m so tired of the magicians tag being full of people who are like “just trust the writers!!! Nothing to worry about here just trust them!!” As if we have any reason to trust them in the first place? Like w the amount of rep crumbs we’ve gotten it’s no surprise people are still wary about queliot and generally how the queer rep has been in the show. I want to know why we’re supposed to just trust cishets w handling gay shit properly

Hard same. And let's be honest here, The Magicians does not have a good track record up to this point. Margo’s supposed bisexuality fandom keeps banging on about has so far been nothing but Supernatural levels of queerbait, they killed off 2! queer characters in the first season, they married Eliot off to a woman first chance they had and made it so he physically couldn’t have sex with other men, and then broke him up from his male fiance while still keeping him married to Fen, and then they bizarrely tried to make the mosaic stuff platonic despite a kiss? And okay yeah, they retroactively made that less wtf but still. People being nervous is 100% understandable and condescending “trust the narrative!” posts are going to age really fucking bad if these last 3 episodes don’t go the way people expect them to.

This is something I noticed when the episode...

Thinking back on it, it could have been from when penny went to the poison room with sylvia, because from what I remember, Sylvia cut the rope from herself before she died.

That IS actually the exact same place where she put the rope when they jumped (I went back to 212 to check)! Now I’m impressed with the crew’s attention to continuity, on the other hand it feels kind of unrealistic that it’s remained untouched in all the time between S2 and now. You’d think the natives wouldn’t leave a useful item like that just lying around.

Yeah I mean I get that the fantasy trope of glorifying monarchy is a major thing but you would think in trying to subvert fantasy tropes they would be more open to dissolving the monarchy entirely. But that would be too radical I guess

i think more than radical it would have been deeply inconvenient for their fillory-related plots in s2 (and beyond, i assume). eliot and margo becoming legally and eventually emotionally responsible for fillory is 1) a big part of their character development and 2) the way the viewer gets invested in fillory as well, which you really have to be to get through s2. not to say that those things couldn't happen in any other narrative, but the children of earth monarchy stuff is a seemingly easy way to make it all happen.

When was she annoying?? People probably just hated on her bc she “got in the way” of Queliot or something bc there’s no other reason to hate on her aside from misogyny tbh. Like she did nothing wrong ever in her life and is one of the best characters so haters can miss me w that shit

I mean, nothing is getting in the way of Queliot. That bullet train is running 200mph and doesn’t show signs of stopping lol

But I liked her from the start. Was she my favorite? No, but in the first season they didn’t give her much character. It’s not her fault that she didn’t understand that Eliot is gay, nor was it her fault that her dumbass dad promised her to a man that he didn’t even know existed yet. She was a peasant girl suddenly thrust in to the life of nobility, betrothed to a man who doesn’t love her, didn’t want her, and who caused the near destruction of her country and then she got left as the ONLY acting ruler when there were meant to be FOUR rulers. 

Like baby girl pls you need someone to look after you for a while

whispers to repost from twitter you could always just go on your computer and right click the picture and then put it on tumblr

two problems: one, often they save as a format incompatible with tumblr, and two i like to post selfies in photosets and twitter embeds them in a stream, thus making them impossible to save unless i post one at a time.
