Jane’s machine was going haywire as she walked around the outside of the house. She thought for sure the solar flare was going to hit somewhere south, but it looks as if it had changed it’s directory and heading toward New York itself. She almost has to laugh at that, because New York is always the target for cosmic, nuclear and alien attacks.
Not only that but she’s been going to the sights of the latest victims that have been turned into ash and the radioactive readings from there are astronomical but it doesn’t match the solar flare readings. So there’s two things that are gunning for Earth at the same time. Which means one of these threats are coming from the other world that has been mashed into theirs.
“What a time to be alive.” Jane mutters to herself as she keeps looking at the equipment in her hand. This was all very exciting to her, because she’s sure she can find a way to harness of this power and possibly use it to protect Earth against the threats from the cosmos. She only looks up when she sees someone messing with the other machine that she left on the patio table. “Hey,” she starts and then fast walks over to the person. “Hey! Don’t touch that. That’s sensitive material.”
