9. do they care about their appearance? how much effort do they put into presentation?

very much so!! kal is was formerly the ruler of kahal. the gist of it is that there are always two rules (of any relation or gender) and kalausi ruled with his twin sister, arichizi, until he decided ruling was Bull Shit anyway and abdicated to go gallivant across globe for personal reasons. that being said, a lot of the formality and mindset of ruling stuck with him, so he cares for his appearance very carefully--or as much as he can while travelling all the time.

20. which of the five senses do they rely the most on?

if kal were alive today he would be legally blind. he has albinism (+ ocular albinism) so he has very poor vision along with very light-sensitive eyes. it’s a common genetic thing in kahal (about 27% of the population has it) so veils and / or blindfolds are a Common Fashion. i’d say he relies most on sense of touch and hearing!

23. how do they feel about nicknames, titles, or labels that have been given to them? how do they feel about their name?

only his friends are allowed to call him nicknames. unfortunately, he has no friends. arichizi and her consort are allowed to call him kal. hizi ALSO calls him sisi but only when she’s sick or very, very tired--it’s the name she used to call him when they were very young. kal likes his own name but dislikes / disliked the titles he used to have as ruler of kahal

33. what makes them cry?

arichizi, honestly. he’s very taciturn and reserved, whereas hizi is impulsive, brash, and is constantly getting into trouble or Political Incidents. kal doesn’t cry often because he’s generally pretty calm, but he can when he’s overwhelmed or angry.
