Applicable Lessons
One of my favourite 9th grade classes are really sharp and we can generally breeze through the textbook in 10 minutes and have the rest of the class for "educational activities." Today they had spent the first few minutes telling me they thought relationships were a waste of time. Then we moved on to the textbook which was covering Third Conditional. They begged we finish early so we could play a game. Me: Do you understand the lesson? Students: Yes! Me: Do you promise? Danny: If I had had a girlfriend on the weekend, I would have broken up with her before dinner. Nailed it.
