Michiko and the Card Suits
—
Let’s talk about the suits below her eye, shall we?
Each symbol is a gateway to her innermost thoughts and feelings. Color also matters quite a bit in this context as well. They can change on a whim and even she doesn’t know why is that nor does she notice at times.
To start, we go to the one you see when I first put up her profile for the event: Spades
This is the default suit, so usually you’d see a black spade below her eye. That’s her ‘neutral’ suit. But if the spade is blue, then it means she’s in a state of melancholy or sadness, or just general thoughtfulness. A darker blue (more of a navy or cobalt) would indicate she’d rather be left alone, where a lighter blue would mean she’s still open to talk or she leans more to thoughtfulness than any sadness. A red spade can mean anger though, so best to be careful if you see that under her eye...
Up next: Clovers or Clubs.
The suit of Clubs symbolizes knowledge and communicating ideas (in this case and from what I gathered). Thus, you’ll find clubs under her eye most often at school, or if she’s writing in her notebook about quirks. Green clubs can mean hopefulness or relaxation or assurance of safety (Light) OR envy or greed (dark)
Third would be the Diamonds.
Diamonds, being of material wealth, would be seen whenever she’s working her shift at the Ambrosia Cafe. The diamond would usually be a golden yellow whenever she’s energized and happy with the work, while a darker yellow (flaxen?) would mean her energy levels are low and/or the work’s taking its toll on her.
Last but not the least: Hearts!
Being the symbol of love and affection, it’s actually the rarest suit to appear on her face. Poor girl doesn’t think she’s really deserving of love and affection honestly, hence the rarity of the suit. It’ll appear more often when her secret is out and she’s accepted nonetheless (which I do hope so-). Pink is shown for platonic and familial relationships (so with her classmates, coworkers and Sato and Toshi at least when she doesn’t feel guilty that they’re so wary of her-) while the even rarer Red is telling of her romantic feelings for someone, even when she doesn’t realize it herself. Who knows who’d trigger red?
...Though, if I had to pick anyone who’d trigger a red heart at some point, it’d be Hiroharu... sorry, @compoundhero >.< but in her defense she’s a bit dense with this herself so she doesn’t even realize the heart’s red.
Playing around with hels!impulse concepts is fun..heheh
All I can say is, haha orc man go brrr?
So keep an eye out for that
Some Philza while i watch my friend stream!
Concept time:
what if we completely modernized tattoos for everyone?
Think of a world where it is taboo to not want a tattoo. I find it beautiful when I picture the raw individuality of every person.
What if we magically got assigned tattoos like Maui from Moana?
I read a quote once a long time ago that I’m sure some may recognize and it sounded something like, “ what if the words that came out of your mouth became etched on your skin? Would you still think you’re beautiful?”
I plan on having tattoos like this everywhere I go ✈️
