Final designs :)
insight in the data from my filter
my intention was to show my concept and how the power of social media and influential people’s platform can spread a message fast. the video start with the landfill site to show the reality of the fashion industry, the ‘xrays’ of the designs show what the final designs are made of, while quickly switching to show how waste can still be turned into something contemporary and cool. The influencer clips, likes, and filter clips show how the power of sharing and going viral can get the followers attention in order to hopefully change their buying habits and be more emotional and conscious, whilst demanding this change from the industry.
xray of puffer print design for video
xray design of the medium coat for the video.
i created an ‘xray’ version for each design to use in my video. this was done to show what the inside of the puffer would look like. for this i also exprimented with fabric thicknesses, displacement and normal maps
HYPERTECHPACK.
working on this assignment was different for me as in management we are used to the boring looking techpacks - although i haven’t done anything crazy for my hypertechpack i still enjoyed working on this and i’ll take this knowledge and add more to it in the future, as i do think that this way of communicating is clearer and more interesting. I liked the fact that the classes were organized as both class and feedback moments, this helped me stay on track and have something to show every week and slowly build the techpack.
Please note: the design used for the hypertechpack was an old one i had created at the very beginning when we just started the hypertechpack classes, it is not part of my final collection.
clip of people trying on the filter. this was used in my final video after the clip of the influencers ‘wearing’ the CODE “WASTE” coats to symbolize the power of sharing, and how a big platform can be used to spread a positive message.
