KPOP Diaries: EXOluXion in Manila 2016 #ConcertBreak

We are ONE. We are E-X-O!!

Today marks 1 week since the EXOluXion Concert here in Manila - Our first ever 2-day KPOP concert here in the Philippines! The power of EXO-Ls isn’t a joke! 

If you guys have been reading my blog for a while, you’ll probably know that this is my 3rd #ConcertBreak with KitKat Philippines and my 6th KPOP Concert with Pulp Live World Productions! To read about my KPOP & VIP Diaries, CLICK HERE!

Aside from EXOluXion being the first ever 2-day KPOP concert in the country, this is also EXO’s first ever major solo concert here in Manila. They went here before for DKFC 1 and KPOP Republic (EXO-K) but they were just part of a line-up. 

I’m just a 101% happy to be a part of this historical concert with KitKat Philippines! I get the BEST-EST view whenever I spend a #ConcertBreak with them so my fangirl heart is mega thankful! Now here’s my mandatory red ticket shot for EXO Planet #2 - The EXOluXion.

KPOP Concert Tip #1: Munch all you can right before the concert because you won’t have time when you start unleashing the fangirl/fanboy in you. I got a dozen of KitKats to devour before the concert. Gotta store some calories coz Imma burn them all while I go crayyy.

I’m going to be completely honest, I am a solid VIP but I have loved EXO ever since their debut. I adore them in History and What is Love and their first set of teaser photos stole my heart (Luhan & Chanyeol) - but as they grew bigger and bigger, the fans scared me. They are all over the news and their “determination” made it to the headlines. Before the concert even started, I was thankful I won’t be lining up and that I won’t get mugged by avid EXO fans.

BUT BUT BUT - Everything changed after attending this concert. EXO-Ls are pretty amazing, solid fans. The real EXO-Ls know how to do it and how to do it the best way for their boys. I am in awe on how successful their fan missions are and I can say I feel so proud being in the silver ocean. 

I usually upload separate fan videos that I (or my sister) took, but I kinda squeezed everything in here in this 22-minute video just for it to not take so much space in this blog post.

  I know I know. You can clearly hear us because the corporate suites where we’re staying is pretty compact hence hearing our (mostly mine) crazy side comments clearly. I’m sorry.

Every single time they go on the 2nd stage, we all freak out! They are so close you can see their overflowing perfect visage.

D.O. looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE whenever he waves and whenever he jumps, coz he’s so little like an adorable middle schooler. kkkk~ Not a hate comment, please dont take it the wrong way. I love him!  ♥

So many ChanBaek moments that night but I’m too noob to capture the best ones. haha~

Their overflowing energy and crazily synchronized dance moves do not only happen in MVs. They’re seriously SO SO REAL.

EXOluXion is one of the best stages I have ever seen in my KPOP life. The fun just doubled up because I get to spend it with these awesome people. (Hi Gelo, Matthew, Erika, Kristine and friends!!) Erika, Kristine and I got reunited once again for another KPOP event! We were at the DKFC2 Presscon, remember?

KPOP Concert Tip #2: SPF 50/PA+++ is NOT your friend. I blindly picked my cushion foundation and it made me look like a ghost. A fangirl ghost, at least.

It was an amazing night! Spending it with fellow KPOP fans is the best way to enjoy it. Up until this very moment, I still can’t get over that out of this world party we had! I’m sending you *superhugs* Gelo! Thank you with all my heart. ♥

BIGBANG MADE in Manila 2015

IT WAS SUPER, SUPER FANTASTIC BABY.

It all started with the show Return of Superman. You see, I like Lee Haru very much and she happens to be the daughter of epik Tablo. Tablo is signed with YG. YG artists sometimes get featured on the show, as was the case for Big Bang.

(Way back in college, I used to adore KPop but just the girls only, especially SNSD. I didn’t really pay attention to boy idols.)

Anyway, I got curious with Big Bang because Haru likes Taeyang and GD very much. The first song I listened to was Taeyang’s Eyes, Nose, Lips and I was like “oh, this is good!” and the rest was history. The next thing I know, I’m buying a ticket for their concert! I bought four days after the public selling and all the upper box seats were gone so I settled for a general admission ticket. :/ (A few weeks before the concert, they opened up new UB seats but I got to lazy to upgrade.) I spent the entire summer listening to their songs and watching videos on YouTube.

I almost didn’t make it because our first long exams were moved on the concert week. I made a deal with myself that if there would be two exams the day after the concert, I wouldn’t go. The heavens must have heard my cry because there was just one exam the next day and was scheduled in the afternoon. And just my luck, I even got upgraded to the Sponsor’s Lounge! Thank you Kitkat PH and Breena and for the ticket. It was definitely the best concert break ever!

Did I mention that the Kitkat lounge in MOA Arena gives a good view of the stage? There’s also a couch, a bathroom, and food service. More like a hotel to me. Haha!

The boys’ Zutter preview during the concert! GD was telling the crowd to support the release of the E series the week after. Ofc, being the fans that we were, we wanted to hear the song already and chanted “sample, sample, sample”. GD was so clueless and Riri had to explain to him. He almost didn’t sing it! Thank you Riri! :>

I didn’t take a lot of photos because I was saving my memory for the videos. Check my Facebook (link on header boxes above) for other videos as I can’t seem to embed it here. I have to warn you thought that the quality may not be that good because FB compresses videos so much. :( I have uploaded Haru-Haru, Good Boy, and Crooked there. :) Maybe I’ll transfer the videos on YouTube when I have the time. I deleted my account because YT kept sending me copyright notices and I got scared. Haha

To have breathed the same air and seen the same ceiling with Jiyong oppa. My fangirl life is complete. My first bias was Taeyang. I don’t know what happened but in the blink of an eye, I was all about G-Dragon. :)) I also used to ship GYDB but my best friend got me sailing with Nyongtori, which should be under a separate post just because. Hihi

It was definitely a night  I won’t forget. I also met a lot of VIPs. I just wasn’t able to take a photo with them. :( I had to leave after because I still have an exam the next day. Thank you again Kitkat PH for this concert break. Until the next one! :)

I’m now officially a VIP. \m/ VIP until forever and whenever.
