People in power have a responsibility to offer examples of why they do what they do. Just heard Tom Emmer on the radio and he says a lot. The problem is that he offers no justification of what he has decided. For those who care Tom Emmer is a state representative from Minnesota. He sits in the United States House of Representatives.
He makes statements like the Affordable Health Care Act was destructive and exclusive. He keeps repeating that the Affordable Health Care Act is bad. But he offers no examples. He offers no concrete examples of how the Affordable Health Care Act is destructive. And when asked for clarity he changes the subject.
This is the problem with people in power. They believe that what they say is true. Why? Because they are saying it. Is this the new American? Because I am saying it it must be true. Fuck the facts. Ditch the data. Irrelevant. Totally irrelevant.
