I always liked looking at the concubi and incubi, because its the hood, the wings, the raptor toes, uhhhh what do you call those? Raptorial claws? And the patterning!!
They're such interesting creatures I want to know more about them, and why they look like the way they are!
I’ve yet to write any lore about them other than brief info on their tribal/feral cousins and their closest living relatives (the even more feraler cousins) so they’re a bit underdeveloped in this section! I wish I could just say I did it because It Looks Cool but of course there has to be a reason for everything haha because I have no other explanation otherwise. As long as they’ve existed so far, they’re critically underdeveloped still 😖… I’ve been focusing on individual characters more than the species
they’re a bit of an evolutionary amalgam with how they look both reptilian and people-y at the same time, but theyre not either. mammalian dragons, if anything. Color changing skin, big batty wings, long whip-like tail, weird scaled bird feet, cobra hood, horns… it’s like they’re not anything in particular.
While in the process of answering this I felt the need to illustrate the evolutionary line they had because I realized that they would’ve evolved from more unique animals…
