Smug Chloe. What more can I say. Yes this actually happened.
Chloe comforting Shapeshifter after trauma in the RP :')
I expanded on that corruption arc I sketched a little while ago because it wouldn't leave my mind.
Also some more sketches for the fire spirit Chloe AU thing I posted about a while ago. In short, when she's resurrected as a fire spirit, she has to spend a while in the spirit realm relearning how to "live" as one of them. Oh, and she's reborn like a phoenix so she starts in a child's body, muhahaha. She keeps her memories though, so you can imagine it's a real fun time for her.
Uhhhhh the only explanation I have for this one is set safety protocol is very important, especially when you have pyrotechnics.
I've posted about this before, but Chloe grew up in Alpine and left when she was 18. She hasn't been back since.
Just imagine when she returns 14 years later with a family and friends. Imagine the reunion, and her taking her family around where she grew up, showing them where she first fell in love with film. I think it's pretty sweet.
It's hard to be the only human in a studio full of owls.
[cracks knuckles] okay it's time for some Chloe lore dumping, prepare yourselves.
AHiT Chloe grew up in Alpine, raised by the Nomads. Badge Seller visited throughout her childhood, bringing her and her best friend (young Cooking Cat) gifts from the world below. One day, Badge Seller brought Chloe a camera (camera badge, specifically) and sparked her love of photography, which eventually evolved into film.
After learning about movies, she decided she wanted to make them herself. When she was old enough, she and Cooking Cat departed Alpine together to follow their dreams. Cooking Cat pursued cooking on an island in the distance, while Chloe traveled to Aviali City where the bird population thrived, as did the Annual Bird Movie Awards.
She worked for many years at different studios, never truly taking off in the industry, partly due to her race. Birds... aren't typically fond of humans. Which made it very hard for Chloe to get her foot in the door of the film industry.
Years pass, Dead Bird Studio is bought by Conductor and Grooves, and Chloe catches wind of a job opening there. The two upstart directors are making quick news in the industry, each showing promising talent (one for filmmaking, one for marketing). Chloe would be honored to work there, especially due to her quickly-growing love for The Conductor's films.
A few months after this, Chloe did apply for the job and was miraculously granted the position; she's worked at Dead Bird Studio ever since. She began working for both directors doing small tasks, but quickly climbed up the ladder and gained favor with Conductor for her determination, skill, and work-ethic. Plus, she never really liked working with Grooves—too much glitter.
Skip forward to this art, which takes place after Chloe and Conductor have gotten together. They keep their relationship secret, it's easier for both of them that way, but sometimes it's hard not to notice how often they can be found together... Surely that's just a coincidence, right? Well, the costuming department owls (whom are sort of fangirls themselves) are onto something, and it's not good.
I haven't posted Condoe RP stuff in a while, and although this technically didn't actually happen, it's inspired by something that did. In short, Chloe took a drunk Conductor back to her apartment one night to help him rest up and this is the next morning.
I kind of messily sketched and coloured this, but it was very relaxing, so in the end isn't that all that matters? Art should make us happy, right? Yeah :)
