So can anyone tell me what the problem is with maxing out someone's salary per year at 25 million a year and requiring what would be paid to that single person be spread out among those who work for them and/or to the government as taxes? I don't care how its spread just so that its shared a little bit more. I mean can anyone show me an actual problem with this because the only problem I can think of is we haven't done it yet and excessively wealthy people might whine about how many zeros they could never touch in their bank account might disappear without them really really trying to buy a whole country or create a space ship by themselves.

So I was arguing with this young Tory today who was claiming “lazy, unemployed people have children just to get child benefit”. Like seriously, you do realise raising a child costs a hell of a lot more than you receive in child benefit. It’s people like these that are demonizing the working class and the most vulnerable in our society.
