“I feel for jeanne but the common reaction to her being “she deserves better than vanitas” got really dumb after the cabin chapter. I dont think jeanne is a bad person and I do believe she deserves to be in a better relationship but so does vanitas frankly. You people are not exactly being the feminists you think you’re being by exempting her when she does the same things to vanitas that vanitas does to her. I hardly think so many people would be so passive about that cabin chapter if the gender roles were reversed. Their cabin scene is so frightening and so goddamn long. It’s so sad to think about it from vanitas’ side and how he had to stay in that position for a whole night while also delirious and sick. I really don’t know how people can find that scene sexy. It’s the worst scene in the manga just for its length.”
