The replies under 1582 made me go back and look at 1575 and while I don't think they are the same person, I do think saying La'an isn't fit for duty, like in 1575, but not Erica, Christine or M’Benga whose PTSD has also put the ship/crew in danger in the past, or Uhura who straight up lies to the Captain to get her way in the same episode La'an kills that gorn in, is a clear indication that the OP in 1575 just doesn't like La'an and is holding her more accountable than other characters. So I at least respect 1582 for being honest out the gate that they don't like La'an.
As for my own thoughts on La'an, I think shooting the gorn as well as a few other moments such as her response to Beto's interview are meant to contrast a statment she made earlier in the season that she felt free from the gorn following their last confrontation. In that La'an is clearly not free from her gorn trauma even as she pretends to be while Erica is openly addressing hers. It's not a slight on La'an to say she definitely isn't as fine as she's pretending to be. But neither are several of the characters and no one is talking about them.
