“The Miraculous Ladybug fandom is REALLY childish lol. I know this is aimed at literal children, but scrolling thru these confessions is pretty hilarious. ppl take things way out of proportion + ignore the context of the fact that like. This is a show aimed at... kids. a lot of things that people take with an EXTREMELY critical eye (omg Marinette is so creepy, Adrien is so demanding, they're evil people blah blah!) need to be taken with the understanding that this is a KIDS' show - and not even an "older kids" show like she-ra.
I'm all for examining the content you consume critically, but this show is aimed for kids under 10 years old. I stopped caring about this stuff ages ago; I just watch and enjoy the ride. And, yeah, there are things I dont like and whatever, but come on guys... it's just a little odd to see people presumably around my age to get so worked up over a show for little kids.”
“I find it ironic that Astruc got mad for fans calling the “Kung Food” episode racist. His defense is this: the episode’s lesson is to create awareness for racism against Asians by showing Chloe mixing up Japanese food and Chinese food and getting chastised from Adrien and Mari. This is immediately negated upon Kung Food’s obvious Goku haircut and FFVII buster sword, both Japanese references on a Chinese character. Wang Cheng only speaks in broken French/English, too.”

I don't want a TOS reboot because, quite frankly, what would be the point, but I would not say no to a show that covered their second 5-year mission. I think everyone in the main cast stays, other than Checkov who isn't in TAS so may have left the ship, for the second five year mission so you'd have the same cast of characters but it could be something that's still new without writing over the top of the old. With more modern technology you could actually bring Arex and M'Ress to life and I think it would be fun to explore how TOS got to TMP.
